Readers give Spa top marks in Europe for the fourth year in a row.
The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has been named Europe’s Best Hotel Spa by the readers of the American magazine Travel + Leisure for the fourth year in a row, giving it top marks in atmosphere, treatments, service and value for money. The results are part of the magazine's annual World's Best readers poll, and will appear in the October 2010 issue.
Decorated in the style of Marie Antoinette’s boudoir by interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon, the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel George V is impressive with its classic French style and its continually evolving treatment menu.
“Spa culture has gained significant importance over the last few years,” notes Christopher Norton, regional vice president and general manager, who also oversees spa development for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts worldwide. “What started as a simple fitness activity has evolved into a sanctuary of well-being and dedication to beauty. Our guests seek a moment of relaxation, but moreover, they want to see results. We made the conscious decision not to limit ourselves to one brand, allowing Four Seasons to offer a great range of treatment options in line with the latest innovations.”
Following Carita and Sodashi, the newest addition to the brands represented at the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel George V is L.Raphael from Switzerland. The brand is known for its investment in cellular development research. Guests can experience the latest trends in technology in terms of non-invasive anti-aging treatments. Another modern trend now available at the Spa is hair extensions courtesy of the Great Lengths brand and the expertise of two in-house hair dressers.
The Spa at Four Seasons offers 11 treatment rooms decorated with Toile du Jouy. Two rooms are set up as a hair salon, and there is a fitness centre with personal trainer available. An indoor swimming pool is surrounded by trompe-l’oeil paintings of the Versailles gardens. The pool and fitness centre are exclusive to Hotel guests, while the Spa is open to day visitors.
