Readers rank Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International among the world’s top 10
The readers ofthe sophisticated Travel + Leisure magazine have given Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL) something to cheer about; in fact, it’s cause for “three cheers.” All three Miami-based brands of RCCL – Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International – have been ranked among the top 10 large-ship cruise lines in the magazine’s prestigious annual “World’s Best Awards.”
“We have always been exceptionally proud of our ships in each and every one of our fleets,” said RCCL Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain. “The architecture is extraordinary, the décor is spectacular, and the art is breathtaking. But what really sets us apart are the crew – the men and women whose tireless efforts deliver such excellent vacations. I applaud their skill, their experience, their passion and what they deliver 24/7, which is central to the rewarding recognition our three brands have received from the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.”
Travel + Leisure’s survey ranking the “world’s best” hotels, spas, cities, islands and cruise lines was made available to readers from December 15, 2009 to March 31, 2010. Cruise lines were evaluated on service, food, itineraries/destinations, cabins and value.
Celebrity also is celebrating the announcement of the winner in the “islands” category: the enchanting Galapagos Islands, where the line’s 92-guest megayacht, Celebrity Xpedition, offers intimate vacations year-round.
