For Enjoying Specialty Sandwiches Onboard or Ashore
Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world's most treasured destinations, introduces a gourmet sandwich bar in the Yacht Club on Wind Surf.
Guests can dine on an assortment of delicious specialty sandwiches, fresh fruit and cookies onboard or they can take them ashore in a Windstar insulated, cooler bag for enjoying in port. Perfect for a romantic picnic in Europe or lunch on a secluded beach in the Caribbean.
Eight Signature Sandwiches are available, featuring flavors and ingredients of Windstar's Mediterranean itineraries.
Guests may enjoy offerings such as:
-- The Italian Sandwich made with salami, mortadella, provolone cheese and pesto;
-- The Greek Sandwich composed of feta cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, red onions and olives;
-- The French Baguette with brie cheese, sweet onion confit, walnuts, tomatoes and lettuce.
All sandwiches are made with a choice of freshly-baked breads including French baguette, whole wheat, sundried tomato, and honey rolls. Guests can also custom-design their own sandwiches. Vegetarian options are available as well.
The Yacht Club Sandwich Bar also features a full espresso bar, fruit juices, soft drinks, bottled water, domestic and imported beers, and wines by the glass that are available for purchase. It is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the Yacht Club Sandwich Bar, Wind Surf's other dining venues include The Restaurant, Degrees, Le Marche, Candles and The Veranda.
The Yacht Club Sandwich Bar is part of Windstar's latest phase of its Degrees of Difference initiative, featuring added amenities and enhancements to the fleet in the areas of dining, accommodations, entertainment, spa, fitness and shore excursions that are scheduled to be completed summer of 2010.
