This award from the magazine Brazil Travel News further reinforces the leading position the hotel holds in luxury tourism in Brazil

Mofarrej has been elected as the Best Hotel in Brazil in 2010 by a jury of personalities and journalists from the field of tourism. The winners of the award “The Ten Best in Tourism”, promoted by the magazine Brazil Travel News, were announced last Monday (26/04) during a ceremony held in São Paulo. Among the criteria assessed by the jury were the capacity to innovate, creativity and commercial performance. “This award is recognition of the quality of the concept, comfort and modernity of the investment we have made, and above all, of the extraordinary work of the entire team led by Bernard Mercier (regional director of operations for Tivoli Hotels & Resorts in Brazil), which through excellence of service and the welcome provided to guests, turns any stay into a memorable experience”, stated Alexandre Solleiro, CEO of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel has already won several awards and accolades in its first year of operation. Opened in March 2009, the Tivoli São Paulo – Mofarrej was chosen as one of the best hotels Inaugurated last year throughout the world by the magazine Condé Nast Traveler (English edition). Further recognition of the differentiated product offered by this hotel was its inclusion into the elite group of the top hotels in the world The Leading Hotels of the World.

“The awards and the exceptional results which the Tivoli group has achieved in Brazil, both from a commercial point of view as well as guest satisfaction, have consolidated its position in the luxury tourism market in this country”, said Bernard Mercier.

Its privileged location – in the very centre of the Jardins district, next to Avenida Paulista –, sophisticated and contemporary decoration, exceptional quality of services and personalized approach, together with a convention centre with a comprehensive infrastructure are all factors which have ensured that the Tivoli Sao Paulo – Mofarrej has become a benchmark in the city.

In addition to its new architecture, the Tivoli São Paulo – Mofarrej has also brought numerous other new developments to the hotel sector in the city. One of which is the Elements Spa, located on the fourth floor of the hotel. The first unit in Latin America of this international network of premium spas and resorts – Banyan Tree, which operates more than 65 spas all over the world. Half of the team is made up of Thai therapists and all of the staff have been trained at the Banyan Tree Spa Academy in Phuket, Thailand. The Elements Spa was also elected as “Best Hotel Spa in Brazil” by the 4 Rodas Guide 2010.

In November last year the Arola-Vintetres restaurant was inaugurated, headed by the award winning Spanish chef Sergi Arola. The spectacular view over the entire city of São Paulo from the 23rd floor and the menu of “gourmet tapas” have transformed the restaurant into one of the hottest spots in town. This is the first Sergi Arola restaurant in the Americas. His restaurant in Madrid, the Arola Gastro, already has two star status in the Michelin Guide.

All of these motives have made the hotel the preferred choice of international committees when hosting delegations from Argentina, Chile, Israel, Italy, Libya, Japan, Sweden, Canada, and other countries.

The Tivoli São Paulo – Mofarrej is the second property in Brazil belonging to the Tivoli Hotels & Resorts chain.
