Fully Integrated Human Capital Management Processes Help to Reduce Costs and Contribute to Overall Business Performance

SAP Asia Pacific Japan (“APJ”) and ObTech Asia Pacific (NEC) today jointly announced that Banyan Tree Holdings Limited (“Banyan Tree”), a leading manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels and spas in Asia Pacific, will be adopting the SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) solution to totally transform its traditional Human Resource (HR) operation.

Through the fully integrated SAP ERP HCM solution, Banyan Tree will be moving away from administrative human resource processes and embracing progressive approaches such as employee self-service to gain greater efficiency, lower costs, and increase service quality. The new solution will also allow Banyan Tree to enhance its ability to identify, nurture and retain talents within and attract new ones into the organization.
“At Banyan Tree, we believe our people are our most valuable asset and the bedrock of our differentiating advantage. We have always placed great importance on the development of talent from within our organization to deliver our brand promise to our guests and shareholders through our associates. We believe that the continuous investment in our human capital is key to the success of our global drive, which is why we have devoted our resources to this collaboration with SAP,” said Mr Ariel Vera, Group Managing Director, Banyan Tree Holdings Limited.

He added, “We found SAP’s integrated and customizable ERP HCM solution suitable for deployment across our global operations in real time. SAP also offers a rich resource of best practices and the credibility of having installed SAP HCM in best-of-breed global institutions. We believe that this solution will enable us to better align the contributions, skills set and performance of our associates with our business goals.”
The SAP ERP HCM solution, to be deployed by SAP’s implementation partner ObTech Asia Pacific, will empower over 10,000 employees across 52 Banyan Tree offices worldwide to work in a collaborative environment.

“With the incorporation of SAP ERP HCM solution into the daily business operations, Banyan Tree will definitely heighten their productivity in terms of employee services and production enhancement,” commented Mr Patrick Teh, Singapore General Manager, ObTech Asia Pacific.
The SAP ERP HCM solution will allow Banyan Tree to sync employee data across HR, talent management and e-Recruitment systems in real time. The Group’s management will also be able to better pinpoint where talent lies and create a high performance environment where employees feel a strong sense of connection to the Group.
“As the demand for highly trained hospitality talents continue to increase, it is critical for companies like Banyan Tree to strategically manage their talent pool to stay ahead of their competition,” said Mr Kowshik Sriman, Managing Director, SAP Singapore.

“We are delighted to partner with Banyan Tree, and have them join our growing list of global Best-Run Businesses that continue to look to SAP to help them strengthen their operations and take their business to the next level,” added Sriman.

The SAP ERP HCM helps organizations throughout the world improve their performance with an efficient, committed and motivated workforce. With integrated building blocks and an unmatched partner ecosystem, the solution supports shared services and business process outsourcing – reducing cost and risk for organizations.
