Radisson® Hotels & Resorts today issued an open letter to customers informing them that the computer systems of some Radisson® hotels in the U.S. and Canada were accessed without authorization. This unauthorized access was a violation of both civil and criminal laws. Radisson has been coordinating with law enforcement to assist in their investigation of this incident. While the number of potentially affected hotels involved in this incident is limited, the data accessed may have included guest information such as the name printed on a guest’s credit card or debit card, a credit or debit card number, and/or a card expiration date.

Radisson guests are urged to review their account statements and credit reports closely. Radisson has also created a dedicated toll-free telephone number (866) 584-9255 and Web site at http://www.Radisson.com/openletter/, offering resources and assistance for guests who would like additional information. To the extent there is any suspected unauthorized card activity, it should be reported to the credit card company, as well as to proper law enforcement authorities, the guest’s respective state attorney general’s office, or the Federal Trade Commission.

“Radisson greatly values guest privacy and deeply regrets this incident occurred,” said Fredrik Korallus, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. “Working with law enforcement and forensic investigators, we are conducting a thorough review of the potentially affected computer systems, and have implemented additional security measures designed to prevent a recurrence of such an attack and to protect guest privacy,” he added. “We are also working closely with major credit card suppliers and law enforcement to ensure the incident is properly addressed.”

Consumers seeking further details and assistance regarding this incident should visit Radisson’s dedicated website at http://www.Radisson.com/openletter/ or contact Radisson at (866) 584-9255 between 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Central Time daily.
