Outrigger on the Lagoon-Fiji has won a prestigious PATA Gold Award. The Resort's e-newsletter, FOCUS!, was voted best entry in the PATA Gold E-Newsletter category.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards honoured the achievements of 28 travel-related organisations and individuals. The winning campaigns were selected from more than 200 Gold Award entries by panels of international experts in each category. The awards were open to both PATA and non-PATA members.

General Manager, Mr Paul Hughes, explains that the success of FOCUS! as an e-marketing tool is due to its non-conforming format. He says it is markedly different to everything else the travel industry normally receives. "FOCUS! embodies everything the Resort represents. It is a bright, colourful insight into Fijian Culture, giving newsworthy updates on the Resort and the constantly emerging service initiatives from an exceptional five-star team. We aim to be different from our competitors at every level, and FOCUS! communicates this very well to the industry."

Outrigger on the Lagoon ∙ Fiji is Fiji's first five star Resort located on the Coral Coast of Viti Levu; the main island of Fiji. FOCUS! is the Resort's e-newsletter with editions appearing quarterly.
