Great Hotels Organisation welcomes nine new member hotels to its family of brands, Great Hotels of the World and Special Hotels of the World and announces two new hotel openings in Portugal and Cyprus.
New Members - Great Hotels of the World
Great Hotels of the World (GHOTW: http://www.ghotw.com), representing some of the world’s finest independent hotels and resorts, is delighted to announce seven new members.
Boscolo Exedra Roma, Rome, Italy
Located in the heart of Rome, the 240-room Exedra Roma offers two exclusive restaurants, a rooftop terrace with pool, a modern business centre with meeting facilities and a wellness spa.
Housed in a 19th century mansion, the Exedra Roma is a neoclassical monument with a contemporary twist. Each of the rooms, including 12 junior suites, three suites and two royal suites are inspired by traditional Rome with a modern touch.
The Exedra’s business centre offers four modern meeting rooms, accommodating up to 200 people. A number of meeting rooms offer a glimpse of the remains of the Diocletian baths which are clearly visible through the glass floor.
Boscolo New York Palace, Budapest, Hungary
Located in the centre of the Hungarian capital, the 112-room Boscolo New York Palace combines antique architectural prestige with contemporary design to create an atmosphere of luxury.
The hotel offers two deluxe restaurants including the New York Café, located on the ground floor of the hotel and said to be “the most beautiful café in the world”. Originally opened in 1894, the restaurant features original ceiling frescoes, sumptuous chandeliers and gilded spiral columns.
The hotel’s spa, inspired by an alpine ice tunnel offers a sauna, Turkish bath and swimming pool and a full menu of luxurious treatments.
The hotel offers a modern business centre with state-of-the-art facilities including eight meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 220 people.
Boscolo Carlo IV, Prague, Czech Republic
Located in Prague’s historical centre, the 152-room Boscolo Carlo IV is one of the most prestigious five-star hotels in Prague and is housed in the building of an old bank built in the late 19th century.
The hotel’s restaurant, Box Block, boasts dazzling backdrops of glass, steel and light and serves traditional local dishes. Two bars, Inn Ox Bar and Cigar Bar, are located in the old bank’s safe room, offering the perfect place to relax.
The business centre offers six meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 350 delegates.
Insotel Fenicia Prestige Thalasso Spa, Ibiza, Spain
Located on the seafront next to the Santa Eulalia River and just a few steps from the beach, the 172-room Insotel Fenicia Prestige Thalasso Spa boasts an excellent location for families and those seeking a quieter holiday in Ibiza.
The hotel’s 1,200 square metre Thalasso spa includes a fitness area and beauty centre. Facilities include outdoor and indoor pools, waterbeds, sauna, herbal steam room, salt steam room, sensation showers, ice fountain and solarium and a full menu of treatments and therapies are available.

Troia Design Hotel, Troia, Portugal
Located on a stunning peninsular between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sado River, Troia Design Hotel opened its doors earlier this month.
