Serious gourmands know that while Michelin makes pretty good tires, it's the company's other endeavour — its revered international food guides — that really drives them wild. In fact, foodies are often seen clutching the guides as they wander a city's streets and study the stars: Michelin's system for rating restaurants.

Now, with Michelin's first-ever Guide to Hong Kong, it seems the stars have never shone more brightly over Four Seasons. The Hotel's Cantonese restaurant, Lung King Heen — which means "View of the Dragon" — lives up to its powerful name with Michelin's highest possible three-star rating. In Michelin-speak, three stars means "Exceptional cuisine worth a special journey." We can't help but mention that it was the only restaurant in Hong Kong to receive this distinction. In fact, Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak became the first and only Chinese Chef to be so honoured. The contemporary Cantonese menu at Lung King Heen emphasizes dim sum, seafood and seasonal delicacies.

Meanwhile, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong's French restaurant, Caprice, was one of just seven venues in the territory to earn two stars. At Caprice, Chef Vincent Thierry and his team serve up contemporary French cuisine and Hong Kong's widest selection of artisanal French cheeses.

Ready to be star-struck? Make a Michelin-recommended detour to check out Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong's stars today.
