ALHI Now Providing National Sales For “Gems” In 13 Countries

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), the luxury hotel and resort specialists for meetings and incentives, has expanded its international offerings to group planners with the addition of six new members located throughout Spain, which are its first members in that country. The six luxury resorts and hotels in Spain are part of the new “Platinum Portfolio” by Sol Meliá Hotels & Resorts. The new ALHI members are the Gran Meliá Don Pepe (in Marbella), Gran Meliá Victoria (in Majorca), Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora (on Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands), ME Barcelona (in Barcelona), ME Madrid (in Madrid), and Gran Meliá Fénix (in Madrid). ALHI has selectively expanded its worldwide luxury portfolio, and now features member hotels and resorts in England, France, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, and now Spain, in addition to its extensive luxury portfolio across the U.S., that ALHI has served since 1986.

ALHI’s New Spanish Gems

Situated on Marbella’s Golden Mile, right on the beautiful Costa Del Sol beaches, the acclaimed Gran Meliá Don Pepe provides stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, Gibralter, and North Africa. The new modern-style ME Barcelona, located on the Northwestern coast of Spain in the center of renowned Barcelona, will open in August 2008. Designed by renowned French architect Dominique Perrault, the majestic 30-story hotel features 259 contemporary rooms and suites, all with magnificent views of the mountains of Barcelona or the Mediterranean. Standard in-room amenities include a 32-inch interactive plasma television, surround sound speakers, and Wi-Fi access. The hotel is centrally located, with easy access to Barcelona’s attractions, and is just 14 miles from Barcelona International Airport.

Located in the center of Spain’s famed capital city of Madrid, the chic and bold ME Madrid offers 192 “feature-packed” guest rooms and suites that include free Wi-Fi access, a 32-inch plasma television, surround sound speaker systems, and lavish bathrooms with bath amenities by AVEDA.
