Sri panwa, an exclusive new resort on the southeastern tip of Phuket, has completed its 2nd phase of development with a sublime new spa and signature restaurant.
Already acclaimed as “one of the most seductive hotels in the world”, with Kenny G and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay among high profile international guests, the secluded retreat has now opened a ‘Sai Spa & Wellness’ retreat for indulgent pampering.
The spa menu ranges from traditional Thai and Swedish massages to facials, invigorating body-wraps, water therapy, aromatherapy, reflexology, yoga, cleansing and exfoliation.
Also included is romantic pampering for couples and relaxing in-villa treatments on request.
Sri panwa’s stylish new restaurant, Baba dining lounge, commands spectacular sunset views over the Andaman Ocean and is the new place to see and be seen in Phuket. The restaurant attracts a hip, young crowd to its monthly special events, with guest-chefs and DJs flown in from Bangkok and abroad.
The Baba menu combines authentic Andaman Thai and International cuisine prepared with love, affection and a twist of luxury. Western dishes range from salads and pastas to ciabatta sandwiches and Angus Beef burgers. From the grill comes a range of seafood, chicken, Australian rib-eye steak, strip loin, pork medallion, duck and lamb chops. Andaman Thai specialties include spicy prawn and chicken soups, spicy ‘Laab’ minced meat salad, tangy papaya salad and traditional noodle dishes.
Dining is complimented by an extensive selection of wines and a range of tropical cocktails prepared by Sri panwa’s master mixologist Kai Ping Chen.
Voted one of the top five resorts in Thailand and situated high above the Andaman sea on the tip of scenic cape Panwa, Sri panwa comprises 30 ‘tropical contemporary’ private luxurious pool villas in lush tropical gardens. All have private terraces, decks and salas, infinity-edge swimming pools and stunning panoramic views of the Andaman Ocean and Phuket archipelago.
The villas are designed to feel like private homes, incorporating customized toiletries, the finest bedlinens, a gourmet mini-bar and traditionally handcrafted furnishings. All villas and the resort’s public areas are equipped with top quality surround sound systems and ipods pre-loaded with music to suit any vibe.
Sri panwa is a family-owned and family-managed estate. It is the first holiday resort by one of Thailand’s most famous developers, the Charn Issara Group.
Highly personalised guest services include private limousine transfers in the resort’s brand new fleet of four wheel drive vehicles and lifestyle tours of Phuket, to ‘golf/tennis buddies’ and private yachting excursions or diving trips.
Guest recreational facilities include a tennis court, gym, games room and steam room.
On the resort’s private beach is a swimming pool with beach club, water sports, year-round yacht mooring and a swimming pontoon.
Excursions are tailored according to the wishes of guests, from private yacht or speedboat excursions to the outlying islands including Phi Phi, the shooting location for The Beach to shopping or nightlife tours of Phuket, safari adventures, sea canoeing, fishing, elephant treks, horse-riding and mountain-biking.
Golfing can be arranged at any of the island’s seven golf clubs – the closest being Phuket Country Club and Loch Palm, just 15 minutes away.
Among numerous accolades, Sri panwa was described as "one of the most seductive hotels in the world" by Thailand’s Anywhere magazine, and ranked among the "Top five resorts in Thailand” by Honeymoon + Travel magazine.
Sri panwa (www.sripanwa.com) is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
