Preferred Hotel Group is pleased to announce its newest member - Hotel New Otani Tokyo's Executive House Zen and The Main - under the Preferred Hotels & Resorts collection of luxury properties, featuring more than 185 of the world's most desirable destinations and newly discovered havens.
The newly opened Executive House Zen (87 rooms) consists of two exclusive floors located in The Main of Hotel New Otani, which is conveniently located near Akasaka-Mitsuke subway station in the heart of Tokyo. It is a unique 'Hybrid Hotel' concept built with a philosophy of combining corporate responsibility to the environment, while fulfilling the needs of the most discerning travelers. Utmost privacy and security is ensured for guests staying in the contemporary-designed rooms with its own reception, dedicated staff and Executive Lounge.
The Main (556 rooms) has been entirely refurbished with seismic and ecological upgrades for greater safety during earthquakes, an energy-saving air-conditioning system which is effective in saving energy consumption by 22.7% and reducing C02 emissions by 28%, Hot Water Supplier with Air-source Heat Pump, Recovering Exhaust Heat, and floor-to-ceiling windows with special filters to cut UV rays by 50%.
Guests staying in an Executive House Zen room will experience the spirit of Zen-fused with the essence of Japanese culture. The effort to use natural materials and colorings such as bamboo, hemp, 'washi' paper and locally crafted ceramics merges seamlessly with contemporary touches and the latest technology. The full height windows allows for magnificent views of the 10 acre 400-year old Japanese garden, the historic Akasaka Palace or the Rose Garden which brings a closeness to nature in the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
Executive House Zen guests enjoy the privileges of their own Executive Lounge offering business support, concierge services, as well as four buffet-style meals a day including the infamous Pierre Herme's croissant at breakfast and nutritional porridge and soup for the health conscious. Outstanding in-room amenities and services include complimentary high-speed internet access, flat-screen TV, safety deposit box with charger, 'Tuscan Soul' bath amenities by Salvatore Ferragamo, Frette linen and even a specially designed telephone with a one-touch 24-hour hotline for services such as secretarial assistance. The Main has extensive dining options of 37 restaurants and bars as well as a large outdoor swimming pool (available in summer), numerous spas and conveniences within the Hotel New Otani compound.
