Director of Sales & Marketing for Bedford Springs Resort
Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed William Courtney Lowe (Courtney) as director of sales & marketing for Bedford Springs Resort, the landmark property located in Bedford, Pennsylvania and dating to 1796. Rikki Boparai, general manager for Benchmark Hospitality at the resort, made the announcement. Bedford Springs Resort reopened in July 2007 following a $120 million restoration and expansion.
"I am very pleased to welcome Courtney to our property," said Mr. Boparai. "He brings a solid background in sales and marketing at signature resorts to his new role as well as important customer contacts throughout the eastern United States."
Courtney Lowe's hospitality sales and marketing career spans nearly two decades. Most recently he held the position of acting general manager for the prestigious Equinox Resort & Spa located in Manchester Village, Vermont. He had previously held the position of director of sales & marketing for the landmark property.
Mr. Lowe has served as director of sales & marketing at The Boar's Head Inn & Resort in Charlottesville, Virginia. He has also worked for Corcoran Jennison as a regional sales executive, responsible for the Ocean Edge Resort of Brewster, Massachusetts, the stately and historic Cranwell Resort in Lenox, Massachusetts, and Hawk Mountain Resort near Killington, Vermont.
Courtney Lowe is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where he earned a Bachelors degree in Economics with a Management concentration. He is active in a number of professional organizations, and has served on the board of directors of the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association of Virginia, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the New England Inns & Resorts Association, and the Vermont Convention and Visitors Bureau. Mr. Lowe and his family are relocating to the Bedford area.
