Preferred Hotel Group and its advertising agency, On Target Advertising, have earned one of the travel industry’s top accolades for print advertising, taking home the Departures’ Magazine “Luxury Travel Achievement Award” for 2007. The honor was presented at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International’s Annual Adrian Awards gala in New York City last evening.
The “Luxury Travel Achievement Award” recognizes the Adrian Awards Gold winner that best exemplifies effective and creative advertising to the affluent market. Preferred Hotel Group’s winning campaign, which earned a Gold in the Resort/City campaign category, was for its 2007 marketing program promoting offers in its city and resort hotels.
“Our advertising campaign was designed to stimulate brand awareness and generate revenue for urban and resort hotels, which it succeeded in doing beautifully. We are delighted that it also caught the eye of the Departures’ esteemed judging team,” said Michelle Woodley, Preferred Hotel Group’s Senior Vice President, Marketing & Distribution. “2008 is our 40th anniversary and this award is a great affirmation of Preferred’s ongoing commitment to our member hotels. We’re honored to receive it on their behalf.”
In addition to its top award-winning entry, Preferred Hotel Group also earned a Silver Adrian award for the Preferred Boutique Directory, a Bronze for the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Directory and a Bronze for the Preferred Golf Club campaign.
