Houston’s Hotel Derek Unveils its New Signature Catering Menu Created by Award-Winning Chef Luciano Pellegrini (United States)

The Menu Debuts in Time for Winter Holidays Events[/b][b]

Hotel Derek, a focal point for Houston’s posh Galleria Area, is adding a new Chef inspired catering menu to complement its upscale social and special events. Selvaggio’s Signature Menu is the creation of James Beard Award–winning Chef Luciano Pellegrini and renowned restaurateur Piero Selvaggio of the Valentino Group.

Selvaggio opened the highly acclaimed Valentino restaurant in Hotel Derek in 2009 as an outpost of his legendary Santa Monica restaurant. Chef Pellegrini has worked with Selvaggio for the last 27 years, including the past 11 years at which he has been Executive Chef at Valentino Las Vegas.

“I bring passion to everything I create, and this is an opportunity to bring exquisite cuisine to some of Houston’s most prestigious social events,” said Selvaggio. “The new Selvaggio Signature Menu is an extension of the refined experience we offer inside Valentino’s fine dining room.”

“Imagine planning your wedding or any social occasion with choices that include the finest and most innovative foods such as black truffles, seared scallops, tuna tartare or asparagus ravioli,” said Chef Cunningham West, Executive Chef at Valentino Houston. “This menu consists of only the freshest, handmade ingredients for recipes from the original Valentino Restaurant.”
