Four Seasons Hotel Madrid announces an exclusive experience in its Royal Suite, within the framework of ARCO 2025. From March 5 to 9, 2025, and in collaboration with Blanca and Borja Thyssen-Bornemisza, this magnificent suite will be the setting for an exhibition by artist Secundino Hernández.

The exhibition, which will be open to the public, will feature several of the artist's most outstanding works and promises to surprise modern art enthusiasts and hotel guests alike.

For five days from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, the exhibition will be open to all, free of charge, although registration through eventbrite will be required due to capacity constraints. This experience reaffirms the hotel's commitment to supporting artists, culture and art, elements that have been ever-present since the hotel opened and are embodied in its private art collection of emerging artists with more than 1,500 works on display throughout the premises.

Secundino Hernández, internationally renowned for his unique style that merges abstract expressionism with a vibrant use of colour and texture, will be exhibiting a selection of his most representative works. With a vision that explores the duality between gesture and balance, his artwork invites reflection and dialogue between the viewer and the canvas.

The exhibition at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid will offer an exclusive opportunity to enjoy his art in an intimate and sophisticated setting, enhancing the connection between the artwork and the space.

This event highlights Secundino Hernández's close relationship with Blanca and Borja Thyssen-Bornemisza, who have always supported and promoted his career internationally through the Ehrhardt Flórez Gallery, which currently promotes his work.

This is the first time in Madrid that a hotel has opened its finest suite to the public to showcase the work of such a distinguished artist, allowing locals and guests alike access to highly prized contemporary works of art, a circumstance that will undoubtedly mark a milestone in the cultural history of the Spanish capital.

About the Royal Suite

A luxurious and exceptional 431 square metre (4,300 square foot) room that combines history, art and modernity, the Royal Suite, located on the main floor of a historic building, has been restored to preserve its legacy dating back to 1891, integrating original features, such as its Louis XV style fireplace, gold leaf mouldings, and historic windows. Over ten years of restoration, the antique has been fused with the contemporary, resulting in a design that blends classic furniture with modern items. The suite, which was once the Main Hall of Casino de Madrid and the headquarters of Banco Español de Crédito, also houses an outstanding collection of contemporary art. With its private gym, kitchen, living room, study, and spaces for private events, the Royal Suite is the finest suite at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, the epitome of luxury and history in the capital.

Secundino Hernández (Madrid, 1975) lives and works in Madrid. His style is characterized by a fusion of pictorial tradition and a contemporary approach, in which gesture, colour, and texture play a fundamental role. He has exhibited in a wide range of international museums and galleries, standing out for his presence in renowned institutions. Currently, his solo exhibition Secundino Hernández en obras is on display at Sala Alcalá 31 in Madrid and will be presented at MUSAC in León in the summer of 2025.
