Phuket’s hottest resort, Paresa has collected two prestigious accolades at the first Thailand Boutique Hotels Awards 2010. The cliff-side retreat scooped awards for ‘Best Boutique Accommodation’ and ‘Nature Conservation and the Environment’ in the Southern region, beating countless competitors and underlining its position at the pinnacle of Phuket’s luxury offering.
Designed to highlight the creativity and diversity of new products in the Thai travel and tourism industry, the Thailand Boutique Awards were organised by the Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC) in collaboration with the Krungthep Turakij newspaper with the support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and MasterCard. The judging panel, chaired by a former TAT Governor, comprised of individuals from a range of professions, including hoteliers, designers and architects who voted for hotels across the country in six categories.
Paresa’s General Manager, Scot Toon said, “It’s a fantastic honour to receive these prestigious awards in only our first year of operation. They have rewarded all our hard work and all the Paresa ‘Angels’ and I are very proud to receive this award”.
