From both sides of the proverbial aisle, world affairs experts will square off on defense policies, international conflicts and even geographical illiteracy in a new series of events launching in 2011 on Crystal Cruises' award-winning Crystal Serenity. Lively, engaging and interactive, Ocean Views will feature panels of distinguished ambassadors, professors, foreign correspondents, four-star generals and other veteran strategists to debate current events and global issues, along with an audience of Crystal guests. The program is the newest addition to the ultra-luxury line's Crystal Visions Enrichment Program and debuts on three segments of Crystal's 2011 World Cruise.

"No doubt, Ocean Views will spark spirited exchanges as the panels spar on controversial issues," says Chris Corrigall, Crystal's manager of entertainment. "Our guests are educated and informed, and relish topics on politics and current events. Rather than a lecture with a single point of view, this series analyzes topics from several perspectives and encourages audience participation."

Guided by a moderator, the esteemed panels include:

-- February 12 - Auckland to Sydney - 16-day adventure in Australia and New Zealand General Barry McCaffrey, veteran broadcast journalist Garrick Ultey, author/professor Harm de Blij, and foreign correspondent Ken Rees
-- March 29 - Mumbai to Cape Town - 19-day journey visiting India and South Africa Former Middle Eastern Ambassador Marc Ginsberg, former South African Parliament member/Ambassador Tony Leon and former FBI chief hostage negotiator Clint Van Zandt
-- April 17 - Cape Town to London - 21-day exploration of West Africa General Richard Myers, 15th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, foreign correspondent Michael Nicholson, NATO diplomat Ralf Vargas and Australian historian/international affairs expert Philip Hurst

Each voyage features other distinguished speakers and expanded expert instruction from Crystal partners including Yamaha, Berlitz, the Cleveland Clinic, the Society of Wine Educators and others.

Promotional Two-for-One segment fares start at $6,500, per person, double occupancy, including complimentary air transportation from many North American gateways and up to $1,000 per person 'All Inclusive - As You Wish' shipboard credits. Crystal's Save Now, Save Later promotion offers guests booking any World Cruise segments by September 30 two-for-one fares, plus 20% savings on virtually any 2011 or 2012 cruise.
