Company Named as a "Best Place to Work in IT" by Computerworld
IDG's Computerworld has selected Marriott International, Inc., (NYSE:MAR) as one of the "Best Places to Work in IT" for the eighth consecutive year. Marriott was ranked number 23 overall and was the only lodging company recognized.
Computerworld highlighted Marriott's use of technology to enable associates the opportunity to connect to the corporate networks safely and securely from any remote location. The high-speed remote-access platform gives associates access to Marriott network drives, the corporate e-mail system and intranet, and more than 60 business applications.

"These innovations are empowering our associates to work more efficiently from anywhere and at anytime."
The Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT) list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals compiled by Computerworld, the "Voice of IT Management." The lists are compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
