Speaking at ILTM Cannes, Aman Group COO, Ben Trodd, shared insights into the brand’s record-breaking success and its ambitious plans for the future.

A year of unparalleled success

Reflecting on Aman’s recent performance, Trodd highlighted that the company experienced its most successful period to date. He noted that the brand experienced a rapid rebound in demand for travel and achieved record-breaking success across new projects and key performance metrics.

Aman’s commitment to ultra-luxury hospitality continues to attract new travellers. The brand is focused on bringing guests into the Aman experience and evolving offerings to align with their preferences. With an average guest age lowering to 42, Aman has seen increasing demand from younger luxury travellers and families, reflecting a shift in the ultra-luxury market.

Global expansion and new openings

Aman’s expansion strategy includes both new urban properties and secluded retreats in stunning natural settings. Originally established in the Asia-Pacific region, the brand later expanded into Europe and is now experiencing significant growth in North America.

Among the highly anticipated openings is Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, set to debut on April 2nd, 2025. The intimate 52-suite property, designed by the architect Jean-Michel Gathy, will feature 15,000 square feet of wellness space and a deep connection to the historic Nai Lert Park. This marks an important milestone for Aman, bringing the brand to Thailand’s capital city.

In Italy, the storied Rosa Alpina property in the Dolomites is undergoing a comprehensive transformation. More than just a renovation, the revitalized Rosa Alpina will feature four new dining outlets and design also by Jean-Michel Gathy. The property is slated to reopen in the summer of 2025.

Other upcoming openings include properties in Beverly Hills, Miami, Los Cabos, and New Mexico, with the Middle East emerging as a key market for the brand’s expansion.

The evolution of Janu

Aman’s sister brand, Janu, has also seen rapid growth. With locations currently under development, Janu is positioned as a more social, business-friendly luxury experience. It has already attracted a strong following, with about three-quarters of its guests new to the Aman brand, making it a powerful gateway into the group’s portfolio.

Janu’s Tokyo property, which opened in early 2024, exemplifies the brand’s vibrant approach. Featuring seven food and beverage outlets, all open to external guests, Janu fosters a sense of connection and community. The brand's focus on social engagement and wellness is expected to drive continued expansion in urban hubs worldwide.

Aman at Sea: A new era of luxury yachting

In a move that signals Aman’s ambition to redefine the ultra-luxury travel space, the company is set to launch Aman at Sea, a 600-foot yacht with just 50 suites. Designed to offer an intimate and exclusive experience, Aman at Sea stays true to the brand’s ethos.

Scheduled to set sail in 2027, Aman at Sea will feature a groundbreaking diesel-methanol hybrid propulsion system, reflecting Aman’s commitment to sustainability.

The itineraries, which will be unveiled in late 2025, promise unparalleled access to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations.

Looking ahead

Aman’s relentless focus on innovation, exclusivity, and design continues to drive its success. With new properties, a rapidly growing sister brand, and an entry into luxury yachting, Aman is expanding its influence in its segment.
