From iconic global brands introducing innovative designs to boutique properties steeped in cultural authenticity, the region is becoming an epicentre of high-end hospitality. Here's a look at the most exciting new and upcoming additions to Los Cabos' luxury hotel scene.
Amanvari - planned to open by the end of the year 2025, the Aman group’s new project in Latin America will be found in Costa Palmas, La Ribera. The builders have taken the time to ensure the property is perfectly integrated in the nature as It will face a mangrove of fresh water. All 34 rooms will have terraces that face the lagoon. Amanvari will feature a resort, private Aman Residences, various restaurants, an Aman spa and a private white sand beach. Moreover, those purchasing a residence will be eligible for a Beach & Yacht Club membership.
- In 2024, Four Seasons’ second hotel in the region opened up 30 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and 15 minutes from Cabo San Lucas private airport (CSL). The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol features 96 guest rooms and suites as well as 61 residences, villas, and estates, and was designed as a traditional hacienda by architect Robert Glazier and designers Meyer Davis and EDG. The hotel is also home to – besides the beautiful views of the Sea of Cortéz – eight restaurants and bars, three pools, a spa, a private art gallery, retail shops featuring local artisans, a Kids For All Seasons club, and the Baja 360° Adventure Club. The latter will offer you a wide array of unforgettable experiences from freediving right from the hotel’s beach with their free-diving academy, or meet baby whales at Magdalena Bay during the spring season to flying a helicopter and boarding a luxury yacht to explore the wetland habitat, home to more than 80 species of birds and 4 endangered species of sea turtles. So whether you are staying in the 79-square meter (847-square foot) guest rooms or the 674-square meter (7,255-square foot) oceanfront one-bedroom villas, Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol is ready to make you feel at home.
- In June 2024, Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton opened its doors in a quiet enclave in an old building near San José’s center, offering guests proximity to some of the most sought-after restaurants, galleries and shops. Its 68 guest rooms and 2 suites all represent the traditional Mexican style to perfection. And if the cultural aspect of the hotel and the historical city of San José are not enough to convince you, maybe the floor-to-ceiling glass bar within the hotel’s restaurant where guests can dine in the open-air café, outside patio or second-level veranda will convince you.
- Coming in a few months, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol will open its 163 ocean-view guest rooms and suites while Park Hyatt Los Cabos Residences at Cabo Del Sol will open its 11 villas and three luxury apartment buildings including eight units in total.
