Five of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts’ properties have once again clinched prestigious global accolades at the Condé Nast Traveler’s 20th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards and the World Travel Awards 2007. These awards are a testament of the strength of the Pan Pacific brand and recognition of the Group’s commitment to create a unique and unforgettable experience each time a guest stays at its hotels and resorts around the world.
Condé Nast Traveler’s 20th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards
Voted by over 28,000 travellers, four of Pan Pacific’s hotels and resorts were once again amongst the best places to stay in the annual top lists of hotels and resorts in the annual Readers’ Choice Awards by Condé Nast Traveler.
Two of Pan Pacific’s resorts were featured in the Top 15 Canada Resorts with The Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre beating competitors to secure top spot in this listing. The second resort which earned a fifth place ranking was the Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside. Both renowned ski resorts provide access to over 8,000 acres of skiing and recreational activities in Whistler and Blackcomb.
The luxurious downtown waterfront Pan Pacific Vancouver which offers panoramic vista of the harbour, mountains and city skyline was featured in the top ten properties in the Top 25 Canada Hotels while the Pan Pacific Singapore was well placed in the rankings for Top 75 Asian Hotels respectively.
14th World Travel Awards 2007
Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts also won two other awards at the recent World Travel Awards. For the second time running, the Pan Pacific Singapore scored as Asia’s Leading Business Hotel, having won it in 2006. The hotel’s location near the business and financial hub in Marina Bay and Raffles makes it an excellent accommodation choice for executives.
The Palau Pacific Resort, the only international luxury resort with its own private beach and extensive diving facilities, was voted Asia’s Leading Diving Resort by travel agents in over 190 countries. Last year, it was named the Republic of Palau’s Leading Hotel.
“We are extremely pleased with the achievements and recognition that our hotels and resorts are amongst the best places to stay in the world. Devotion and effort by our staff has culminated into an illustrious win for the Pan Pacific brand and the Group. We will continue to uphold the quality of our hotels and innovate to delight our guests. The awards will simply mean that now that travelers have even more reasons to stay at Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts,” said Mr Kevin Croley, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
