Rotana Hotels held its’ first Marketing Workshop in the resort city of Al Ain. Attended by 30 executives from the Sales & Marketing department, the workshop came in line with Rotana Hotels’ expansion plan and as part of strengthening the company’s foundation.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Imad Elias Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Rotana Hotels said: "We have selected the resort city of Al Ain to hold this important workshop because it is an ideal place for a perfect retreat to combine 3 days of meeting and some interesting fun". Mr. Elias added: "In addition to our UAE based colleagues, participants included executives from Beirut, Cairo, Kuwait and Khartoum. Our overseas colleagues were particularly impressed with what the city has to offer".
As for the content of the workshop Mr. Imad Elias said “The Marketing workshop contained 2 days of Global Marketing Trends & SMART Marketing and both topics were given by Dr. Chekitan S. Dev, Associate Professor School of Hotel Administration Cornell University, who is an award winning teacher and researcher at Cornell University. As for the third day, it was focused on Branding and Advertising”.
Mr. Elias said: “The ultimate objective behind this workshop is to ensure a thorough development of the individuals themselves, an increase in their motivation and to build a strong team spirit among our various Rotana Sales & Marketing team”.
“With the massive expansion plan that Rotana has, it is imperative to groom our future Sales & Marketing leaders from within the existing team”, concluded Mr. Elias.
