In-Suite Tailoring with Knatchbull, the First Female Tailor to Grace Savile Row
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair has partnered with Knatchbull, Savile Row’s first dedicated shopfront for women, to offer an in-suite atelier service to guests. Whether it’s an impeccably fitted jacket, a sleek business suit or a showstopping gown, Knatchbull’s tailors will be on hand to create a beautiful piece from the finest fabrics, including sumptuous wools and luxurious silks, from the likes of Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, and Vitale Barberis. Items from Knatchbull’s ready to wear collection can also be altered for the perfect fit.
Behind the Scenes at Jessica McCormack’s Carlos Place Townhouse
Guests will undoubtably be dazzled with a behind the scenes experience at eponymous jewellers Jessica McCormack – a beautiful 19thcentury townhouse on Carlos Place where the décor is as impressive as the diamonds – and where downstairs the beating heart of the brand can be found in the basement workshop. Mandarin Oriental Mayfair guests are specially invited for a guided tour of the Townhouse, going behind the scenes to witness the master craftspeople in their workshop, who use centuries-old goldsmithing techniques that have all but disappeared from modern-day jewellery making. There will also be the opportunity to browse the latest collections, discuss bespoke commissions, and explore Jessica’s most iconic signature pieces.
Pop-Art Personalisation by Boyarde ‘The Artist with No Canvas’
Boyarde Messenger, founder of Boyarde Art House, is an internationally acclaimed British Pop Artist and pioneer of the Wearable Art movement, known for hand-painting unusual canvasses onto Hermes Birkins. Her core roots lie in Female Empowerment and ‘Scopophilia’, the pleasure of gazing at the female form, with a mission to ‘Bring out the Inner Goddess!’, through body art to luxury wearable art. For guests of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, Boyarde will be available for bespoke commissions on items ranging from handbags to high heels, creating a completely one-of-a-kind piece.
Perfume Personalisation with Ormonde Jayne
Showcasing the finest of British craftsmanship, intelligent design, and rare ingredients, Ormonde Jayne redefines the art of perfumery. Located in Mayfair’s iconic Royal Arcade, the flagship store is the heart of the perfume house founded by Linda Pilkington in 2000. As the creators of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair’s bespoke fragrance, No. 22, Ormonde Jayne now invites hotel guests to enjoy an exclusive fragrance consultation to find their ideal scent, poured into a bottle engraved with a personal touch. Champagne and chocolates will accompany this unique experience, offering a refined moment of luxury and personalisation.
Bespoke Lipstick with Code8
Housed within the Code8 Mayfair Flagship Boutique in Burlington Arcade is the Beauty Bespoke Lipstick Bar, allowing Mandarin Oriental Mayfair guests to create a completely unique lipstick in partnership with one of the resident Colour Maestros. Tailored to each individual, the Colour Maestros will determine the best shade based on age, skin tone, undertone and lifestyle of the client, before creating the completely unique pigment in store, to return to the hotel with that very same day.
