With an overall investment of CHF 18.5 million, this transformation underscores the hotel’s unwavering commitment to redefining luxury and elegance in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Following the extensive refurbishments of the Lobby, the renowned Kempinski Lobby Bar, and the award-winning Main Restaurant Les Saisons in late 2022, the hotel has entered a new chapter of elegance and transformation.

In 2023, a dedicated wing of the property underwent meticulous renovations, resulting in a refined collection of 26 luxurious rooms. The current remodel seamlessly combines timeless sophistication with modern comforts, offering guests a refreshed and refined retreat in one of the world’s most iconic destinations. The development is part of a bold vision to establish Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski as the premier international hotel in St. Moritz, celebrated for its harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary style.

Redefining Alpine Elegance: A Modern Take on Timeless Luxury

The newly unveiled rooms and suites convey meticulous craftsmanship, thoughtfully inspired by the breathtaking alpine surroundings. This ambitious transformation was led by the renowned interior design firm Divercity Architects in collaboration with esteemed designer Carole Topin.

Natural materials such as rich woods and textured fabrics are paired with a harmonious palette of earthy tones and soft neutrals, creating an alpine-chic ambience that reflects the beauty of St. Moritz. Spacious layouts are thoughtfully designed to enhance comfort and functionality, while state-of-the-art amenities ensure guests experience the utmost convenience. Bespoke furnishings, carefully selected for their elegance and durability, add a unique touch to each space.

General Manager Konstantin Zeuke shared his pride in this achievement, stating:This renovation is a tribute to the legacy of Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski and a celebration of its future. The new rooms and suites embody the spirit of St. Moritz, a balance of tradition, innovation and understated luxury. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience this next chapter, where history meets modernity in the most captivating way.”

The Journey Continues: Setting a New Standard in Elevated Luxury in the Alps

The hotel will continue its ambitious renovation journey from 2025 through 2027, with phases scheduled from spring to autumn each year. These upcoming phases will culminate in the comprehensive redesign of all guest accommodations, marking the completion of the hotel’s transformation.

Upon completion, the entire room inventory will reflect a unified aesthetic, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with contemporary sophistication. Guests can look forward to impeccably crafted spaces that combine luxurious comfort, innovative design and the serene charm of the Alpine surroundings. This final transformation reaffirms the hotel’s commitment to redefining the luxury experience and setting new benchmarks for hospitality in St. Moritz.
