The exhibit was created following Georgia Tucker’s extended stay at the property in 2023.

The English artist was inspired by the beauty of the establishment, with its gardens, its ancient olive trees and cypresses, but also its mesmerizing light, vivid colours and the mountain, Baou des Blancs, that presides over it.

Georgia Tucker is an artist and designer known for the immersive experiences she creates.

Designed to engage the senses, her interactive spaces envelop the audience in an atmosphere of serenity that explores the connection between art, nature and well-being. The artist draws inspiration for her work from meditation, writing, and the healing power of nature.

According to her, art is essential for well-being.

Through her work, she aims to reconnect audiences to nature and to themselves while communicating the importance of preserving our environment. Her works also challenge the artistic establishment through augmented reality landscapes (the metaverse), provoking new pathways and ideas for how art can be made more accessible to a wider public.

The artist works across a range of media, including painting, sculpture, and printmaking. An accomplished public speaker, she is a vocal advocate for environmental preservation and the therapeutic power of art.

Art has the power to heal trauma, inspire future generations and educate the public. Immersing ourselves in multi-sensory spaces, reconnecting to the present moment, is an essential tool for the future of communication.’ — Georgia Tucker.

Sentia, the exhibit, offers Château Saint-Martin & Spa guests an impactful encounter with the surrounding landscapes, as interpreted by the artist. Inspired by Georgia Tucker’s personal experience during her stay at the Château in 2023, this series of works, including paintings, pottery and stained glass, is rooted in the felt sense of ‘serenity.’

The hotel’s Provençal gardens were the creative point of departure for this exhibit. Capturing the inimitable beauty of the property grounds, the artworks incorporate the organic forms the surrounding landscapes, such as fig trees, lemons, oranges, trees, olive trees, and lavender.

Two stained glass pieces featured in the exhibit are inspired by those on view in the Chapelle du Rosaire in Vence, created by the legendary 20th-century artist Henri Matisse, in addition to Georgia Tucker’s own experiences at the property.

For lovers of art and nature, this vibrant and original exhibit is on view throughout the season in the Château Saint-Martin & Spa gallery.
