Rezidor to open a new Radisson hotel in Tyumen

The Rezidor Hotel Group has contracted a new Radisson hotel in the Russian city Tyumen –
the property will feature a minimum of 200 rooms and is scheduled to open by the end of 2009.
Between 2007 and 2009, Rezidor will open 20.000 hotel rooms; Russia and CIS are amongst
the strongest emerging development regions of the company.
“The Radisson Hotel Tyumen is the first internationally branded hotel in town and symbolizes
our strategic approach in Russia”, underlines Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of The Rezidor
Hotel Group. Tyumen is located 2.100 kilometers east of Moscow in the Urals Federal District
and has approximately 560.000 inhabitants. Founded in 1586, it was the first Russian town in
Siberia – today, it is a center of the oil and gas industry.
Services of the new and centrally located hotel will comprise an all day restaurant, a lobby bar,
a sky bar, a congress center of some 1.300 square meters and meeting rooms. The Radisson
hotel is part of a multifunctional complex offering an office tower, commercial areas, serviced
apartments and a fitness area operated by World Class.
