Hoshino Resorts’ city-tourism hotel brand, OMO, will be opening OMO7 Osaka in Naniwa on April 22, 2022.

Adjacent to the Shinsekai area, where the vibrancy and charms of Osaka remain, our hotel is situated in the perfect location for urban tourism, in front of Shin-Imamiya Station, which is easily accessible from Osaka’s tourist attractions.

The concept of the hotel is “big-hearted and brassy, Osaka is yours,” with the hopes for OMO7 Osaka to become a city-tourism hotel full of qualities unique to Osaka.

Concept

The concept of the hotel is “big-hearted and brassy, Osaka is yours”.

It is the city of popular foods such as Takoyaki and kushikatsu, a city of canals with history and culture, and a city of merchants that lead way to people of warmth and friendliness.

Osaka fosters countless distinct cultures with plenty of fun and deep areas as well as classic tourist spots.

Osaka steals the hearts of many for its vibrant and energetic charms we wanted to share this through our hotel for city tourism.

Characteristics of OMO7 Osaka

1)Guest rooms suited to plan out travel itineraries

With a total of 436 rooms, there are 8 room types of varying sizes so that the perfect one can be chosen for the type of journey guests choose. One of the unique rooms features a map of Osaka on the wall so that guests can plan their trip or chat about the places they visited.

Each bed is placed in the corners of the room where private space is created within the same room.

A maximum of 6 people can stay in this room type for a comfortable stay with friends or family.

There is also a room type with a kitchen and walk-in closet for those who want to stay in Osaka as if they are living like a local.

2)There is always something to do at the OMO Base!

The OMO Base, otherwise known as the travelers’ fun lounge, is a public space with features that make the trip to Osaka more enjoyable.

With a length of 85m and 5m in height, this space has our original neighborhood map, Go-KINJO Map, the OMO Café and Bar, OMO Dining, and the library lounge.

Here, guests can join events, relax and read, take photos for memory, enjoy Osaka food culture, and more!

The change in seasons can be enjoyed even in the city from the large windows of this lounge as the look of the garden changes with time.

■Go-KINJO Map

Our neighborhood map, the Go-KINJO Map, with a width of 6m and a height of 4m will be placed at the entrance of the OMO Base. From classic tourist destinations to nearby stores and restaurants, the map will show guests the numerous possibilities and options within the area.

The stores, restaurants, and sights are all places that our staff has actually been to, sharing only the best of the city.

■The casual OMO Café and Bar, and OMO Dining to enjoy Osaka food culture

The number after OMO for the property name refers to the type of hotel/service.

OMO7 is a full-service hotel with a variety of different food options.

At the OMO Café and Bar, our cafeteria, food, and beverages can be enjoyed from morning to night.

Day time menu includes Osaka favorites such as sweet Takoyaki (without octopus) for dessert. In addition, guests can enjoy original menus inspired by local food culture at the OMO Dining.

Breakfast is buffet style serving flour-based foods like udon and spring onion savory pancakes.

A la carte menu for lunch, and for dinner, guests can choose between a la carte or course menu according to how much they have had for that day. The OMO Café and Bar and OMO Dining is open to both hotel guests and day visitors.

Special facilities of OMO7

■Garden area for guests to connect with the city

In front of the hotel tower lies a vast garden area in the middle of the city with an area of approximately 7600 meters squared. This was created in the hopes for tourists and the locals to have a good time at a place that could be the next landmark of the city.

This area has different elements of nature from flat grasslands to hilly sides and terrace areas to lounge around in the open air. It is structured so that a gentle hill connects the entrance of the premises to the hotel tower (second floor).

■Public bathhouse in the city of sento, communal bathhouses

The bathhouse is open to guests staying at the hotel and is located within the garden area. The exterior is reminiscent of the history of public bathhouses, incorporating light and shadow in its design.

The white color symbolizes the vibrant and bright merchant city of Osaka and the silver color reflects the smoke from factories that covered the sky during the development years of the city.

A sense of home away from home awaits at OMO7 Osaka with clouds of steam escaping from the skylight of the bathhouse, creating a cozy feeling. This will be a space where guests can spend a relaxing time within the city.

3)Go-KINJO to enjoy the city to the fullest

OMO considers the city centered around the hotel to be part of the resort and hopes for guests to go out into the city as much as possible.

OMO Rangers will support guests’ trips through sharing of knowledge through the Go-KINJO Map and our local guide tours of nearby attractions.

Food tours of local fast food, as well as neighborhood tours around the Shinsekai area, are in development for guests to have a fun day out in energetic Osaka!
