Room to step back in time

Royal Suite & By Appointment Collection, InterContinental London Park Lane, London, UK

The newly designed Royal Suite & By Appointment Collection pay homage to the hotel’s location on the site of 145 Piccadilly, Queen Elizabeth II’s former childhood residence. Attention is in every detail of the timeless design that encapsulates signature styles from Her Majesty’s early life through the present.

The master bedroom boasts a sumptuous flora-lined satin canopy bed that celebrates the backdrops Cecil Beaton used in his portraits of Her Majesty and an expansive walk-in wardrobe with rich leather and brass trim doors inspired by the ever-present iconic little black handbag.

The new ‘By Appointment’ collection offers the ultimate luxury with a flexible design that can be tailored exclusively to the needs of each guest. The four interconnecting rooms were redesigned in matching styles and can be joined to create an incredible five-bedroom, five-bathroom space totalling 1967sqm that presents one of the largest offerings in the capital.

Vaulted Suites, Hotel Indigo Bath, Bath, UK

Taking its design cues from the city’s surrounding Georgian architecture and the history of the local neighbourhood, Hotel Indigo Bath creates a truly memorable experience by artfully combining modern design and historical architecture.

Built-in the 18th century, the vaults are an amazing example of historical architecture and house the hotel Suites. Designed with soft lighting, black timber finishing, vaulted bath stone ceilings, underfloor heating and high-end crafted furniture, these rooms are a unique and special treat.

Harold S. Vanderbilt Penthouse, part of the B Suite Collection, InterContinental New York Barclay, U.S

Since opening its doors in 1926, InterContinental New York Barclay has been intertwined with the city’s vibrant history. It was during that time that railroad tycoon Harold S. Vanderbilt called this historic property home.

Designed to transports guests to their very own New York City residence, Park Avenue’s most majestic suite, The Harold S. Vanderbilt Penthouse, is an opulent revival of that time, featuring old maps of Manhattan and Vanderbilt family photos and a private fitness room.

Step out on your 121sqm private terrace and enjoy breathtaking views directly overlooking the Chrysler Building. The living room space is wide open, boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, inviting natural light to brighten the suite. 250sqm of indoor space boasts two rooms and one master bedroom equipped with a king bed as well as a second room with two double beds.

The urban wonderland

The Presidential Suite, InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, U.S

At 73 stories above L.A., this 232sqm suite is the ultimate heavenly hotel experience in the City of Angels. Sweeping views of the Los Angeles skyline serve as the backdrop to a relaxing lounge complete with a piano, spacious dining area with kitchenette and a separate King bedroom.

Foodies needn’t venture far, with six on-site dining destinations including La Boucherie, Dekkadance, and Sora and complimentary benefits of Club InterContinental on the 70th-floor lounge, offering relaxation, light dining and drinks.

Suite La Parisienne, InterContinental Paris Le Grand, Paris, France

Planned as a Parisian apartment would be, this space offers an unmatchable view of the Eiffel Tower and the utmost in refined decor. In this 100 sqm suite, bathed in light, shades of ivory and powdered pink contrast neatly with sleek black creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere.

An ‘Eiffel’ style beam, which was uncovered during the renovations, splits the main room. The “La Parisienne” wallpaper by Manuel Canovas sets the tone right from the entrance: an ode to fashion, to Paris, its landmarks and its glamour.

It’s all about femininity and elegance in this suite where you’ll find a sofa from the House of Pierre Frey and armchairs from Counot Blandin and Collinet.

Penthouse Suite, Kimpton Blythswood Square, Glasgow, Scotland

This 153 sqm penthouse suite offers the ultimate Scottish style and features a private lift, bespoke timber furnishings, locally sourced fabrics and unbeatable views of the Glasgow skyline from a rooftop terrace and garden.

The master bedroom features a wet room, sunken spa bathtub and walk-in wardrobe, while a second stylish double bedroom is accessible via the living area.

For elegant feasts, a kitchen and dining room seats up to 10 guests at the most exclusive table in town.

Regent Suite, Regent Chongqing, China

Situated on the top floor of Regent Chongqing, this suite offers unparalleled views over the Jialing river and cityscape.

Designed in modern Chinese style, the suites feature a classic Chinese wooden screen, golden crackle lacquer, antique red paint and gold bricks in abundance to create a mysterious and relaxed ambience, with hand-knotted carpets featuring a design based on Sichuan costume patterns.

A large bedroom sits off a separate living room, dining room, kitchen and leisure room, all equipped with BOSE audio system perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The suite bathroom with large round bathtub, double vanity, lounge and dressing table, and full-length windows framed with fretwork, makes it the perfect oasis from which to overlook the city.

If that wasn’t enough, butler service is on hand to anticipate every whim, and suite guests can enjoy the exclusive Regent Club for meetings, meet-ups, meals and drinks at their leisure.

The Residence, InterContinental Geneva, Switzerland

The Residence is Geneva’s highest and largest suite. Behind grandiose doors as tall as those of the Versailles Palace, the Residence offers the stately elegance of the opulent palaces of the past.

Designed by famed New York architect Tony Chi, the suite includes two master bedrooms, the Grand Salon and fireplace, and the Grand Dining Room, with two fully equipped kitchens and a bar. Space centred around wellness includes two hammams, a sauna, fitness room and massage room.

Every detail has been designed to lift the senses, from the spectacular lake and mountain views to the magnificent bathtub, carved from one piece of white marble. Tastefully styled with tailor-made furniture and fine art, the Residence combines the ultimate luxury with complete privacy.

The Residence can also be connected to other rooms on the 18th floor, or the entire floor can be privatised to include eight Superior Rooms and one Executive Room and the option of a private elevator; all attended discretely and efficiently by a private butler.

Super Suite, Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown, Dubai, UAE

Whirl into the ultimate Dubai experience in a one-of-a-kind 96sqm suite with stunning floor to ceiling views of the Dubai Creek. This vibrant space is chock-full of design features to keep you amused, with all the extras you’d expect and plenty of room for the whole gang.

The Super Suite is inspired by the story of Dubai Creek – with surrealist wallpaper exclusively created by local artists, bespoke shisha lamps or the wardrobes with carved wooden doors, hand-crafted in Mashrabiya style with a modern twist.
Interiors showcase the electric clash of local culture old and new, fusing the heritage of Dubai and Emirati culture in a contemporary and modern setting incorporating local designers.

The spa-inspired mother-of-pearl bathrooms pay homage to the country’s heritage of pearl diving, while eye-catching vibrant Moroso designer furniture adds a contemporary touch to the interior. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook envy-inducing views; be it over the Dubai Canal or the Dubai Skyline.

Stay and play

Kids Suites, InterContinental Dubai Festival City, Dubai, UAE

The Suite Playcation package, in partnership with Toys R Us, will leave kids wowed from the moment they open the doors to their family room, and parents thrilled with a free upgrade to an InterContinental Suite, as well as the option of breakfast either in room or in an all-day dining restaurant Anise.

Lunch or dinner is also included, with an option to enjoy as room service or at Anise, with early and late check-in as an added option. In addition, kids under twelve eat for free during their stay and baking activities with the hotel's chefs are on the menu too.

Surprise welcome gifts will greet under-twelves, and Barbie or LEGO sets can be ordered online by parents for an additional fee to have the toys delivered directly to the suite.

Immerse yourself in the unparalleled decadence of the 212sqm, two-bedroom Panorama Suite, with a sweeping 270-degree view of the picturesque Ogiyama mountains, the charming rooftops of the city of Beppu, and the glistening Beppu Bay.

Every detail has been considered, from the red lacquer chest for luggage and sliding doors featuring intricate Japanese latticework to the silver gilt art piece in the sitting room and bamboo artwork by a local artist.

Luxury Beach House, InterContinental Hayman Island Queensland, Australia

With 400 sqm of luxury and direct access to Hayman Island beach, the three-bedroom Hayman Beach House was envisaged as a private estate and offers unrivalled views of the Coral Sea.

Panorama Suites, Six Senses Botanique, Brazil

Evoking a sense of "outdoors inside" is easy in one of the Panorama Suites at Six Senses Botanique in Brazil. Cosy yet spacious with 70sqm of living space and panoramic views of the Mantiqueira Mountains, the suites have an integrated lounge area, outdoor terrace and generous bathing area.

The ambiance connects you to the nature all around – the ideal setting for an open-air breakfast or to enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Heavenly Penthouse, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula, Danang, Vietnam

Designed by Bill Bensley, the 170sqm vibrant rooftop suite, with its wrap-around garden terrace and private plunge pool commands 180-degree views over the private bay and lush slopes of Monkey Mountain from the top of the resort.

Floor-to-ceiling window walls mean the colourful interiors are awash with light, highlighting stylish design touches like Hoi An-style chandeliers, a canopied bed and intriguing original artworks.
