Following a seasonal closure, luxury five-star golf resort Kempinski Hotel Adriatic is set to reopen its doors on 29 April 2021. With a newly designed leadership team, new executive chef and the addition of luxury private villas for most discerning travellers to the portfolio, the hotel will continue to deliver impeccable Kempinski service, highlighted by Kempinski White Gloves Service, a programme of extreme health and safety measures, introduced back in 2020.

Guests will be able to enjoy numerous outdoor venues and activities, which focus on providing a comfortable experience for the guest and highlight health and safety during these times.

Our location is once again proving to be beneficial: Istria is known as the safest region in Europe, and the resort is located in a secluded location where the Adriatic Sea meets the vineyards and olive groves,” comments Željko Stašević, the newly appointed general manager of the resort.

With a perfect selection of hotel offerings and outdoor activities to choose from, regular guests as well as new ones are in for a colourful holiday and are recommended to enjoy a nice walk by the coast: The air, saturated with the invigorating scents of the sea, rosemary and lavender, is one of life’s pure pleasures and is filled with health benefits.

The richness and boldness of the nature, green valleys and hills is the perfect backdrop to all kinds of trails, paths and routes, starting with the wine and olive oil routes,” explains Mr Stašević, who highlights the importance of adding private luxury villas to the offer. “Recognising the new trend in ultra-luxury offerings and increased interest in the villas, we have focused, during the period of closure, on the expansion of our portfolio and the reconstruction and redesign of the private villas.”

With a focus on ensuring absolute privacy and representing the true essence of Adriatic comfort, hotel guests will be enchanted by the Kempinski Villas and their refined elegance. Located directly on the grounds of Kempinski Hotel Adriatic, each villa is spread out over an area of 600 sq m to more than 1,000 sq m and features three to five spacious bedrooms with luxurious ensuite bathrooms, a large open-plan living room, a dining area, a kitchen and more. The villas are carefully designed to guard privacy, with extra-large private swimming pools, sunbathing areas and spacious courtyards, where guests can enjoy the breathtaking views of the historical Venetian city of Piran and the deep-blue Adriatic Sea. Guests of the villas can enjoy all hotel services and facilities, as well as the additional personalised à la carte luxury services. With the culinary offer at the resort set to advance to a completely new dimension of luxury, the private service which stands out is definitely the option of having a private chef.

Lovers of gastronomy are in for a treat

Boškarin meat stew, Truffle fritaja with full English breakfast and Soupe à l’oignon with asparagus… These are only a few of the potential options for the innovative mélange of culinary tastes at the Istrian Kempinski hotel this season.

The luxury golf resort has appointed a new British chef, Warren Brown, whose background is a recipe for innovation and culinary masterpieces. Warren has been schooled in French cuisine, has worked alongside two-Michelin-star recipient Anton Mosimann OBE and Daniel Galmiche (a Michelin-star recipient since 1990), was on board “British MasterChef” and has travelled all across the world, working in various regions (Europe, Shanghai, Dubai, Korea, etc.), as well as with various hospitality brands (Shangri-La, Hilton, Starwood, etc.). Not to mention that Warren was the head chef at the one-star Michelin restaurant L’Ortolan in Reading during his work there.

The seasoned British national is excited about his new position and comments, “I am looking forward to introducing a new mixture of tastes here in Croatia – a blend of French and international cuisine with pristine Istrian dishes and seafood touches; completely different cuisines, each remarkable in its own aspect – and I am excited to see what kind of tastes this mixture can bring.

Culinary masterpieces await all who decide to visit Kempinski Hotel Adriatic or one of the restaurants located in the resort.
