On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, Café Boulud will host Le Choix des Chef, a dinner event featuring a special menu by Chef de Cuisine Nicholas Trosien and guest Chef Adrian Forte. The two top Toronto chefs will join forces for this one-time culinary experience and a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go to Olympia’s Gift, a Toronto-based scholarship fund for students of African descent pursuing business or entrepreneurship.
Chef Forte, a recent competitor on Food Network’s Top Chef Canada, is a champion of Afro-Caribbean cuisine. He is also a driving force for inclusivity within the hospitality industry and the founder of Chef du Jour, a company that pairs talented chefs with private dining experiences, personal chef services, catering, consulting and media appearances.
“As the restaurant industry settles into its new normal, I’m thrilled to be hosting this event with Chef Nicholas and the Café Boulud team that brings people together for an incredible cause,” says Chef Forte. “I’ve been a long-time fan of Chef Daniel Boulud, and I was lucky enough to learn from him when he was a guest judge during my time on Top Chef Canada. Having the opportunity to collaborate in one of his kitchens is truly a full circle moment.”
Throughout the three-course meal, guests can look forward to a fine dining menu with a playful approach that showcases the signature-styles of each chef. The evening begins in Café Boulud at 6:30 pm with a glass of champagne offered to guests upon arrival and dinner service will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.
“Developing this menu with Chef Adrian has been an exciting process,” explains Nicholas Trosien, Café Boulud’s Chef de Cuisine. “Our entire team is incredibly proud to be supporting Olympia’s Gift and it’s been an honour to work with Chef Adrian to bring our shared vision to the table.”
This intimate evening will be the first special event to be hosted in Café Boulud, which is located inside Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, since it reopened its doors for service on August 5.
The comfort and safety of each guest is the top priority of the Hotel and its restaurant properties. Upon arrival, patrons will go through a temperature screen check, which is part of Four Seasons Lead With Care health and safety program. Grounded in healthcare expertise and enabled by access to leading technologies and tools, the Lead With Care initiative is focused on delivering the utmost care, confidence and comfort to all Four Seasons guests, residents and employees.
Tickets for this dinner event are CAD 95 per person excluding tax and gratuity. To make a reservation, call Café Boulud directly at 416 963 6000. Note that reservations are required and space is limited.
