New ocean adventures await guests of Four Seasons Resort Lanai, with the addition of the Lanai V, a 45 foot (14 metre) high-speed luxury fishing boat, fitted with amenities suited for exhilarating excursions on Hawaiian waters. The Lanai-based captains and crew of Lanai Ocean Sports know the fishing and SCUBA grounds around the island better than anyone, so a day on the waters won’t disappoint.

The Lanai V is a 45-foot (14 metre) centre-console, tunnel-hull boat designed and built by INSETTA Boatworks, a family-owned company located in Georgia known for marrying high quality materials and stellar craftsmanship to create top-of-the-line boats. The design was intended to bridge the gap between smaller centre-console boats and large sport-fish yachts for a more intimate experience that still delivers peak performance, safety and comfort. Cruising speed is delivered by twin 370 horsepower Yanmar diesel engines. The catamaran is the Official Chase Boat for the 35th America’s Cup.

Design details and custom features include twin hulls providing ample space, teak decks with comfortable forward day beds and seating, berth, galley, washroom facilities, air conditioning, a pop-up shade forward and aft and stern ladder for snorkelling, seating for divers with tank racks - all which make the boat feel like a mini-yacht. Fishing amenities include a fresh bait sink, carbon fibre outriggers, ample deck storage for ice and fish and roomy fighting chairs to land "the one" that won’t get away. Adrenalin-seekers will thrill to try out the Subwing, a towable watersport board that allows swimmers to dive and fly, try underwater acrobatics, or simply relax and glide along the water’s surface.

Fishing Excursions

Take in the beautiful coastline of Lanai on this four-hour excursion as the crew share insightful information about the towering cliffs and marine life. Then it’s time to cast a line, as Lanai offers access to some of the best natural fishing grounds in the Hawaiian Islands. Find ono, kawakawa (ahi), barracuda, elua, papio, mahi mahi, marlin and many other types of Hawaiian bottom fish. Guests who want to keep their catch can bring it back and later enjoy a fresh Hawaiian seafood dinner prepared by the Resort Chef. Assorted sandwiches, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages included; rates are USD 240 per person, excluding taxes.

SCUBA Excursions

  • Two-Tank Dives - With its protected bays and coves, the island is a dream dive destination. Go out on a two-tank dive to explore underwater coral grottoes, lava caves and enjoy safe encounters with tropical sea life at favourite spots such as the Cathedrals, Kaunolu, Fish Rock or Menpachi Caves. Next-generation diving gear includes top-rated Cobalt 2 dive computers, high-performing, lightweight Atomic T3 regulators and superior-quality wetsuits. Sandwiches, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Diver is USD 249 per person, rider is USD 99.50 per person. Taxes not included. Maximum four passengers per excursion.
  • Introductory Pool Skills – Guests new to SCUBA or needing a refresher can gain introductory knowledge with this beginner session. Under the supervision of an experienced PADI Dive Instructor, guests will practice skills in a shallow pool to prepare for an open water dive. Sessions are available Mondays-Fridays, and must be booked a week in advance. The one-hour skills class is USD 50 per person, with a one-tank dive available upon request.

Private Charters
