Moxy Berlin joins Moxy Frankfurt Eschborn and Moxy Munich Airport as the Moxy’s third experiential hotel in Germany, and the brand’s sixth hotel globally.
Centrally located in the city’s cultural epicentre, Ostbahnhof, the 210-room hotel is within walking distance of Berlin’s coolest bars, independent shops and late-19th-century architecture that makes the area so exciting. Its prime location also enables guests to take advantage of the city’s main transportation hubs, with buses and trams galore to any desired city destination.

Moxy Berlin will be a 24/7 spot for all things fun and impromptu. Moxy’s playful communal spaces, including its Living Rooms, game rooms and bar, come alive with a thoughtfully-crafted assemblage of spontaneous and organic happenings designed to cater to travelers and locals who like to hang-out with their friends and meet new ones, without breaking the bank. The Moxy experience is ‘no place like home,’ it’s better; a bartender greets guests with a complimentary cocktail upon arrival.
To bring Moxy Berlin to life, emerging artists from around the world are invited to participate in the brand’s #BlankCanvas global initiative and submit works, ranging from live performance art to a permanent installation, for the chance to be featured as part of the contemporary, emerging art collection at the hotel. Located in the prime location of Ostbahnhof, the 210 contemporary guest rooms, ranging from Standard to Family size, are outfitted with sound-reducing walls, 42″ LCD flat screen televisions, free Wi-Fi, abundant USB ports, comfortable bedding and deep-seated armchairs in calming, neutral fabrics. Every bedroom makes a statement with a fun floor to ceiling art piece. The design is functional, flexible and uncluttered with simple, thoughtful touches including glass shelving and open closets. Moxy’s 24/7 B&F (Beverage & Food), smart and fun self-service concept gives guests access to what they want, whenever they want it. The Moxy dining area offers lots of options for food and drink including fresh juices and a coffee bar. Guests can enjoy fresh panini sandwiches, local dishes including Spätzle and Sauerbraten and a range of healthy alternatives from salad to antipasti. An evening Crockpot entrée will be served along with a variety of cocktails, craft beers and specialty wines. The bar is full-service and the hub of activity in the lobby – it also doubles as the hotel’s physical check in (where guests are greeted with a complimentary ‘Got Moxy’ cocktail upon arrival).

Moxy Hotels first launched in Milan in September 2014. Moxy Tempe and Moxy Munich Airport opened in March 2016, followed by Moxy New Orleans in May 2016 and Moxy Frankfurt Eschborn in August 2016. The brand is entering the market in a bold way, with several additional identified projects slated for major metropolitan locations in addition to Moxy Berlin, including Moxy Aberdeen Airport (UK), which is due to open at the end of 2016, and five Moxy Hotels across Europe in London, Oslo and Vienna expected to open during 2017.
