WORLDHOTELS member Stamford Plaza Auckland
is celebrating its re-opening after a four month closure and an extensive $10 million
dollar refurbishment, offering a special Corporate Traveller rate of NZ$175.
Along with the special re-opening rate*, Auckland’s finest 5-star hotel is also offering
guests a NZ$10 drink voucher for use at the stylish new Knights Lobby Bar for a
limited time in October.
In the heart of the city's central business district -- just a stroll from sparkling
Waitemata Harbour, Viaduct Village, shopping, theatres and nightlife -- the
refurbishment has introduced a contemporary "international flavour" to Stamford Plaza
Auckland capitalising on new technology and service that will add significantly to the
guest experience.
In addition to the new design of the hotel’s 282 rooms and 19 suites, refurbishment
has been extended to include a new grand entrance foyer, along with a new lobby bar
and two new restaurants and the refitting of the hotel’s popular ballroom and
conference rooms.
Featuring the best breakfast buffet in town, an express lunch buffet and an exclusive à
la carte evening menu, the new stylish lobby restaurant ‘Knights’ will be open from
early morning until late in the evening.
Elegant and theatrical, Kabuki Teppanyaki Restaurant will be the best of it’s kind in
Auckland and indeed New Zealand. The spectacular Teppan style combines the very
best of New Zealand produce with the plated elegance of international cuisine.
The hotel's acclaimed 'Brasserie Restaurant' already regularly contends as New
Zealand’s 'Restaurant of the Year'.
First-class service and an excellent inner-city location consistently earn it rankings
among the world's top hotels with accolades including ‘Leading New Zealand Hotel’,
'Best Hotel in Auckland' and New Zealand's 'Best City Hotel'. Guests have included
Elton John, Tina Turner, Simply Red, Bill Clinton, Lionel Ritchie and many more
celebrities.
"Our signature WORLDHOTELS property in New Zealand, Stamford Plaza Auckland is
in a class of its own among all 5-star hotels in the country and the refurbishment
elevates that level even higher," said Roland Jegge, VP Asia/Pacific of
WORLDHOTELS.
The hotel is part of Stamford Hotels & Resorts, the largest owner and operator of
landmark luxury hotels in Australia and New Zealand.
