Franco Esposito is the new General Manager of the 5-star-superior Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg. He succeeds Peter Pusnik who after seven years at the helm has left to focus on new challenges. As a general manager and also while in other senior positions, Esposito has already worked for many globally successful companies such as Marriott, Sheraton, Oberoi and Kempinski. Prior to this appointment the father-of-two was a successful businessman offering strategic advice to national and international hotel projects. Born in Hamburg, Esposito even completed his apprenticeship in the Hotel Atlantic.
“With Franco Esposito we have acquired an extremely adept, internationally experienced and future-oriented general manager for the Atlantic,” said Dr. Bernard große Broermann, the hotel proprietor.
The appointment of 52-year-old Esposito also sees more than simply an acknowledged hotel expert taking on the major challenges of the traditional Hamburg hotel. “In addition to professional expertise a strong emotional connection to the Atlantic was of paramount importance to us,” stated Stefan Massa, co-director of the Atlantic Hotel’s operating company. “And with Franco Esposito we certainly have that.”
This factor was also underlined by the new hotel boss himself: “As a native of Hamburg, it is a privilege to be a part of the Atlantic’s history and now its future. It was here with my apprenticeship that my career began and I am now being offered the chance to share my experience. I’m looking forward immensely to the special challenge ahead.”
