Enchanted Island Resort, the first international property managed by UAE-based hospitality group JA Resorts & Hotels, hosted its much awaited inaugural event on 29 August 2014 attended by Sir James R. Mancham, Founding President of the Republic of the Seychelles, government ministers, ambassadors, dignitaries, VIP’s and business partners. Mr. Alain St. Ange Minister of Tourism & Culture, Republic of Seychelles led the ribbon cutting ceremony which included Mr. Joel Morgan, Home Affairs and Transport Secretary, Mr. Nelson Gibb, COO of Dutco Group, owning company of JA Resorts and Hotels and Mr. Sunil Shah of Trinity Estates and owner of Round Island with his family. Also in attendance were David Thomson COO JA Resorts & Hotels, Fredrick Reinisch General Manager of the UAE and Seychelles as well as Lilli Fiirgaard General Manager of the resort.

“We are excited to officially launch of Enchanted Island Resort and regard this partnership as an extraordinary opportunity for JA Resorts & Hotels to offer a unique experience for travelers seeking a genuine Seychellois holiday” stated Mr. Thomson. “The Enchanted Island Resort is a hidden gem where guests can enjoy their privacy and relax in a true paradise hideaway setting,” he added.

Home to ten boutique style villas, the island paradise initially opened in January 2014 within one of the Indian Ocean archipelago’s protected National Marine Parks. Located just a 15-minute motorboat ride to the main island of Mahé, the resort is spread over five acres with the villas designed to reflect the island’s traditional Creole-Seychellois architecture. Each villa has a private infinity pool, outdoor deck, gazebo, rain shower, French bathtub, king-size bed, complimentary Wi-Fi, a dedicated 24/7 butler service and more besides. The resort has been created around the original environment of the island, making each villa merge and flow with the natural landscape.
