Recognized as the most important organization to recognize and reward service excellence in international hotel industry, “World Luxury Hotel Awards” announced the best hotels for 2013 with a ceremony held in Phuket, Thailand. After being named as “The Best Luxury Hotel of Turkey” for the last two years, Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Istanbul has raised the bar and deserved the title of “The Best Luxury Hotel of Europe”.
“World Luxury Hotel Awards” assesses overall service excellence, exceeding customer's expectations and paying attention to detail, and impeccable service understanding of the entire team. It received a record number of participants this year. In the finals held in Phuket, Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Istanbul received the prestigious accolade among hundreds of candidates, thanks to its impeccable service and attention to detail. The applications made on the basis of country, continent and global basis are assessed by international Tourism professionals such as travel agencies or tour operators, and hotel guests. This year an increase of 40% was seen in countries participating the “World Luxury Hotel Awards” which have been given to recognize the service quality of the luxury hotels since 2006.
Yeşim Doğukan, Public Relations and Marketing Communication Director, received the award on behalf of the hotel at the gala night where Marinique De Wet, Director of the WLHA, made a speech. "Our belief is that service excellence is the most critical factor in a hotel's measure as a luxury hotel and winning a World Luxury Hotel Award would enhance performance levels if industry peers can be judged against other major players in the field. We can always be inspired to greater levels of excellence meaning exceeding customer's expectations and paying attention to detail. The aim of awards is to encourage sustainable competition" said Marinique de Wet.
