During the inauguration ceremony, Yann Caillère, CEO, emphasized the Group's determination to continue developing its network in the region: "Russia and the CIS are key regions for the Group's continuing development […] Our ambition is to increase the network to 50 hotels in this region, looking to 2016.
The hotel in a few wordsThe Novotel Moscow City capitalizes on the brand's strengths. The first Accor establishment located in the heart of Moscow City, the capital's business district, the hotel offers 360 rooms and contemporary design.
For business travelers there are more than 1,000 square meters of meeting space equipped with the latest technology, including a Eureka room designed for creative meetings. Two Mac corners – free access – are available to business customers.
But the hotel hasn't neglected pleasure – it has a space dedicated to relaxation with a Spa and a gym, while the MC Traders restaurant takes care of dining pleasure with a menu featuring international cuisine in a very modern setting.
Immersion during the inauguration eveningThe inauguration evening started at 4 pm with a press conference bringing together 40 journalists and Group representatives, including Yann Caillère, Accor's CEO, Alexis Delaroff, Managing Director Russia & CIS, Jérôme Cherpin, General Manager Novotel Moscow City, Andrey Ilyaev, Co-Investors – Tashir Group and Sergey Shpilko, Chairman of the Moscow Tourism Committee.
5 pm – tour of the hotel for small groups of journalists and a cocktail break.
7.30 pm – The ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the establishment in the presence of Jean de
Gliniasty, French Ambassador to Russia, Bruno Coudry , COO Eastern Europe and Christian Karaoglanian, Development Director for Russia.
The 850 guests were then able to relax and enjoy themselves late into the night during a buffet spread with corners dedicated to different types of world cuisine – a Russian space with caviar, an Italian corner with risotto and pasta and French cuisine with cheese and bread.
A very eventful evening with ambiance provided by DJ Antonio, a fixture of the Moscow scene.
The Novotel Moscow City – another key address for the Accor network in Russia and the CIS and one of the Group's finest hotels in the region.
