MARRIOTT EUROPE IS SET TO HOST FIVE SPECTAULAR PARTIES in five European cities, to say ‘One Big Thank You’ to its most valued customers.
A first for Marriott, ‘One Big Thank You’ is a spin on its annual Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW). GCAW is held in October to allow Marriott Sales Associates across the globe say ‘thank you’ through bespoke customer activities, appointments, lunches, office visits and events.
Paul Malcom, Marriott Vice President Sales, Europe says, “This year is the 18th Marriott Global Customer Appreciation Week and the European Division wanted to do things a little differently. What better way to thank our most valued customers than with a memorable party across five cities?
“The cities selected are London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Munich and Budapest. A European Task Force was developed for the project and following a number of brainstorms, the number ‘1’ was identified as a common thread and will feed through all five parties in some way. Number one encompasses everything that this celebration is about; one-customer, one-party, one-thank you, one- celebration, one-vision and one-Marriott.”
Marriott’s most senior figures, including the European Area Vice Presidents for each region, will attend the events across Europe, which will be held over three days in October; 24, 25 and 26.
London, Host City for UK South – Thursday 25 October
The number one highest private function space in London, The Gherkin, will host a luxe reception for guests, giving unrivalled views across the capital. The iconic building will be lit ‘Marriott Red’ in colour, making it visually spectacular from outside. Singer Gabrielle Aplin will entertain guests as they indulge in champagne and canapés. The self-taught singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist is a YouTube sensation and is tipped by the music industry as the ‘one to watch’ in 2013. Throughout the evening, a magician will captivate attendees with magical tricks that embody the number ‘one’.
Edinburgh, Host City for UK North – Friday 26 October
Edinburgh will give UK North customers an exclusive ‘1st’ with a private screening of the brand new James Bond movie, Skyfall at the Dominion Theatre in Morningside. Art Deco and luxurious, guests will enjoy Bond inspired cuisine in the screening room, with its lavish leather seating and private bar. Friday 26 October coincides with first day of the movie’s UK release.
