FelCor Announces Retirement of Lawrence D. Robinson as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated (NYSE: FCH), one of the nation's largest hotel real estate investment trusts (REITs), today announced the retirement of Lawrence D. Robinson as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.

Mr. Robinson, 62, joined FelCor in 1996 and was appointed the Company's first General Counsel. Mr. Robinson had provided legal counsel for FelCor, Inc., from its inception as a private company in 1991 and through the Company's growth of six hotels and its public offering in 1994 as FelCor Suite Hotels, Inc., while the managing partner of the Dallas office of Bracewell & Patterson, L.L.P.

While employed with Bracewell & Patterson, Mr. Robinson also served as the head of that office's corporate and securities law section and as Chairman of its firm-wide hospitality group. Mr. Robinson's other work experience included Partnership in the Kansas City-based law firm of Stinson, Mag & Fizzell, for which he founded and managed a Dallas, Texas office.

"I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Larry for his dedication and service to FelCor. His expertise, knowledge and counsel have contributed to our Company's success and will long be remembered," said Richard A. Smith, FelCor's President and CEO.

"Larry has been both a trusted friend and colleague that I have had the pleasure of working with over the last 15 years. He played an integral role in FelCor from its early days to today, as one of the nation's largest hotel REITs," said Thomas J. Corcoran, Jr., FelCor's Chairman of the Board. "I know Larry will approach his next endeavor with all the passion and commitment he gave to FelCor. He will be greatly missed by the FelCor family."
