Golden Tulip is continuing its ambitious development process in the CEE region and opens a hotel in the capital of the Czech Republic on December, 1. Nearby the famous Prague Castle the 5-star Boutique-Hotel Savoy – built in 1911 and re-opened in 1994 after an extensive renovation – attracts guests with 61 luxurious rooms and suites.
Since 1990 the hotel is owned by the Warimpex Finanz- and Beteiligungs-AG – an Austrian real estate development and investment company. From December, 1 Golden Tulip is taking over the management contract. It`s the second hotel in Prague for the brand operating 200 hotels in 40 countries.
Hotel Savoy combines gracious living with the charm from long ago – the face of the building originates from the year 1882. Behind it a mixture of elegance and modern technology is waiting for the guests.
This year the online portal TripAdvisor awarded the hotel with the “certificate of excellence”. Situated in the embassy district of Prague the hotel features a relax center with a whirlpool, sauna and a steam bath as well as a beauty salon and two conference rooms with the capacity of 45 persons. Above that a presidential suite offers an intimate atmosphere for meetings with up to 20 people. The award-winning restaurant Hradčany and a library with an open fireplace complete the offer of the hotel.
David Anderson, Director of Operations for Northern Europe says: “The Louvre Hotels Group is delighted to have this key hotel within our Golden Tulip brand. The Savoy hotel offers the luxurious comfort you would expect from a 5 star Prague hotel combined with such charm that it has made it the choice of corporate and leisure guests and of many celebrities and politicians visiting Prague over the years.”
