Boutique Property Spotlights Cosmopolitan Design and Gourmet Cuisine With Authentic Flair
Hotel B Cozumel officially opened its doors on July 15, 2011, offering travelers an authentic and avant-garde experience amid sunset views and turquoise waters of Mexico’s Caribbean.
Nestled in the most exclusive area of Cozumel, the boutique property features new trends in design, cuisine and entertainment. Modern amenities include 45 distinctive guestrooms, a contemporary restaurant and cocktail bar, signature spa and private sundeck – all located within minutes of Cozumel’s lively downtown, golf course and airport.
Guests of Hotel B discover a tranquil escape amid the natural beauty of the Caribbean. At the heart of the hotel, a natural lagoon and the surrounding waters offer an inviting place to snorkel, scuba dive, kayak or kite surf among brilliant shades of blue. The dive shop offers trips from the Hotel’s pier to visit the second largest reef in the world. On the wooden sundeck, Punta Beleza, visitors can start the day with an oceanfront yoga lesson, enjoy a soothing massage in the early afternoon and toast a Caribbean sunset with a delicious house-specialty mojito at the hammock bar.
Hotel B also showcases the richness of the traditional Mexican arts and crafts with a creative touch of young talents. The Hotel was conceived as a live and evolving workshop, where something new is created every day. Inspired by this colorful environment, local artisans, designers, chefs and world travelers are encouraged to leave their own trademark by participating in one of the hotel workshops.
Guestrooms
Nearly all of Hotel B Cozumel’s 45 guestrooms and suites overlook the sea, with private balconies and hammock-chairs that invite visitors to enjoy the best sunsets of the Caribbean.
Decorated by young designers and artisans from different regions of Mexico, each room features a distinctive style – with arts and crafts accents ranging from a set of modern Mexican armchairs to a retro-inspired or a low Japanese-style living room. Other amenities and guest services include soft down pillows and linens, high speed WiFi, flat-screen television, iron and ironing board, in-room coffee makers and room service.
Locally produced art pieces throughout the hotel can be purchased by guests, contributing to the sustained development of small artisans. Exploring the rooms and corners of the Hotel B can be compared to a trip through Mexico: guests are immersed in part of its traditions, colors, and scents while enjoying a contemporary and beautiful setting.
Hotel B Dining
Hotel B’s signature restaurant Costeñito Bistro fuses contemporary cuisine with regional flair. While fresh seafood is the specialty – the menu features more than 10 styles of ceviche from different Coasts of Mexico – guests find options for all tastes. Diners enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, with retro-inspired contemporary décor and elegant Mexican accents. Evening candlelight creates a romantic and cozy setting, while the Bistro’s ocean-view terrace offers a scenic backdrop to delightful flavors.
The Bar Bacan features a cozy beach-shack vibe and the best cocktails on the island. Located near the pool, Jacuzzi and the hammock lounge, Bar Bacan serves sun-seekers service throughout the day until 12 midnight. Guests enjoy a wide range of mojitos and specialty cocktails, or simply kick back with ice-cold beers and delicious snacks at the Lounge.
Activities and Amenities
The oceanfront Punta Beleza wooden sundeck evolves as the day passes by. In the morning, Hotel B guests unwind with yoga lessons and an ideal space for meditation and relaxation amid the sounds of gentle waves. In the evening, visitors recline in hammock lounges to watch the sunset. The Punta Beleza also sets the stage for lively music and dancing, relaxed casino events, cultural open-air cinemas, or a bohemian bar ambiance beneath the moonlight.
The Hotel B pool reflects the vibrant blue colors of the sea. A swim-up bar invites guests to relax while being served refreshing drinks and snacks – all without leaving the water. At the Spa B del Sol, experienced therapists indulge guests in rejuvenating beachside massage treatments, such as the Hotel’s signature Combo Massage – a combination of Deep Tissue and Swedish massages.
For the more active travelers, Hotel B offers a variety of eco-adventure and tours. Equipment for snorkeling, scuba diving and kayaking is available from the certified PADI Dive Center. The center also offers daily pick-ups at the pier that transport guests to Cozumel’s renowned tropical reefs.
At the end of a sun-filled day, visitors take refuge at Jacuzzi BLU – Hotel B’s trademark oasis. Carved in natural stone at the edge of the Caribbean, the Jacuzzi’s innovative hydro-massage and breathtaking sunset views alone make a visit to Hotel B Cozumel worthwhile.
