Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, is delighted to announce the launch of a book marking the 50th anniversary of its London property, Jumeirah Carlton Tower.
‘All That Life Can Afford’ is a specially commissioned book, written by Clive Aslet and published by Marc Hoberman, capturing the extraordinary history of the hotel and the personalities who have shaped it since it opened its doors in 1961.
Through a selection of iconic images and fascinating anecdotes, the book tells the story of a hotel institution, a beacon of style and sophistication in fashionable Knightsbridge. The book follows the hotel from the day it opened as London’s tallest, through to the present day where Jumeirah Group, as its current custodian, maintains its world renowned reputation for first class service and meticulous attention to detail - delivering ‘All That Life Can Afford’ to a discerning international client base.
The introduction and first chapter of the book are available online at
