The Nam Hai, Vietnam’s premier seaside resort, is turning the lights on a series of special events over the festive period to engage and brighten the Christmas spirit in all members of the family.
In the typically friendly and family oriented Vietnamese style inherent at The Nam Hai, staff members at all levels will be involved in celebrating this Christmas in a style to remember.
From Dec. 1 until Jan. 6, the hotel’s extensive children’s club program will also include the following activities, available free of charge to all guests:
* Christmas cookies cooking class in the pastry shop.
* Weekly Christmas painting competition to be judged by staff at The Nam Hai. (Winning entries will receive a Vietnamese family dinner for the entire family.)
* Christmas treasure hunt where families compete to hunt the clues hidden on property.
* Family game night.
Over Christmas itself guests will be invited to join in the festivities with:
* Decoration of The Nam Hai Christmas Tree.
* Christmas story reading by the general manager and senior management (in English and German).
* Christmas family movie night with cookies, stollen and mulled wine.
* Santa Claus in the restaurant during dinner Dec. 24 and 25.
Lavish menus have been developed for the holiday period, including a wine-centric bill of fare created specifically for Dec. 27 and 30. That’s when the resort will conduct Grand Wine Dinners with lauded winemaker Sybille Kuntz, of Sybille Kuntz Estate in southwest Germany’s Riesling-rich Mosel region.
In addition to introducing the wine she’s selected for each dish, Ms. Kuntz will also offer private wine tastings throughout the week leading up to New Year’s.
To further entertain guests, The Nam Hai Festive Choir will be performing for the second consecutive year. Headed by resident pianist Rain, the Choir consists of staff at all levels who have auditioned and trained to delight guests with their renditions of favorite Christmas carols.
Seven nights’ accommodation for a family of four (two adults and two children) from Dec. 21-28 starts at US $890++ per villa per night, including airport breakfast and return airport transfers. A Grand Wine Dinner costs US $150++ per person, including a five-course contemporary set menu with paired wines.
