Readers of influential US travel magazine Travel + Leisure have voted stylish Siem Reap boutique property Hôtel de la Paix the best in Cambodia in the ‘2010 World’s Best Awards’ poll. This is the second time this year Hôtel de la Paix has received an award from the magazine following its place in the T+L 500 annual list of the world’s top hotels in January 2010.

Based on readers’ ratings across a range of criteria, Hôtel de la Paix achieved an overall score of 93.75 ranking it 6th on Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards list of Top Resorts in Asia and No. 29 on the list of Top 100 Hotels Overall. The hotel was voted the best in Cambodia, ahead of countless competitors from prominent international luxury brands.

Winners of the Travel + Leisure 2010 World’s Best Awards, published in the August 2010 issue of Travel + Leisure, are determined by the results of a survey that took place from 15 December 2009 to 31 March 2010, in which readers rated hotels in five categories including: rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food, and value. In their reporting on TravelandLeisure.com, T+L editors noted the traditional Khmer and Art Deco design influences and recommended that guests check out the hotel’s Art Lounge for new collections each month and reserve a swinging dining bed at the hotel’s signature Meric restaurant.

The full list, along with survey methodology, can be found in the August 2010 issue of
