Resort boosts tourism confidence as first post-recession opening on Vietnam’s central coast
Life Resorts delivered an encouraging vote of confidence to the Vietnamese tourism industry as Life Resort Da Nang becomes the first new resort to open on Vietnam’s much-prized central coast beach between Da Nang and Hoi An since the global recession.
The site, which celebrates its grand opening this week, is set on five hectares fronting the beautiful Bac My An beach, often referred to in the West as “China Beach”. The vibrant city of Da Nang is situated close by and boasts its own international airport with daily flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.
Accommodation at Life Resort Da Nang begins with 158 spacious Superior and Deluxe rooms each with balconies, rising up to the Penthouse suites with Jacuzzi baths, huge balconies and sensational sea views. In addition, there are 11 one- and two-bedroom villas available with open plan living rooms, private gardens and large luxury en-suites with generous stone baths.
The accommodation is deliberately designed with versatility and differing needs in mind. The resort takes full advantage of the beach-front site with a large number of units facing the sea.

The fact that there is so much to see is further complemented by the quality of this new resort.”
The completion of the resort so quickly after much tourism development stalled during the global economic downturn, has been welcomed by hotel owners Hoang Tra Travel and Trading Co.
“It was the case of right location and with Life Resorts, and its track record and sense of style, the right international operator,” said Nguyen Thi Tuy Van, general director of Hoang Tra Travel and Trading Co., Ltd. “From there it was all about the timing and being first to so visibly demonstrate our confidence is something we are very proud of.“
The hotel designers have been keen from the outset to ensure that it meets the requirements of leisure and business travellers alike. For food and drinks, guests have the choice of a snack at the Lobby Bar, a sunset cocktail at the Pool Bar or dining at Senses Restaurant.
The restaurant represents an “East Meets West” fusion using only the freshest local ingredients with guests able to choose between dining al fresco on the terrace or in air-conditioned in-door comfort.
Those visiting Life Resort Da Nang with plans to relax, can enjoy the soon-to-open Nang Spa while the more active can take advantage of the Fitness Centre complete with treadmills, rowing machines, stepping machines, exercise bikes and free weights. There are also additional beach activities from kayaking to beach volleyball while the resort also includes a stunning swimming pool and day/night tennis courts.
Meanwhile business visitors are catered for - from small meetings of 20 to a major conference of 750 delegates. It’s all backed by state of the art audio visual equipment and high speed ADSL in all rooms and WiFi in public areas.
With Conde Nast Traveler recently adding Life Heritage Resort Hoi An to its prestigious Gold List, the new resort is as well timed as it is located.
