Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Dida Hernandez as director of food and beverage for Turtle Bay Resort, the landmark property located on the North Shore of Oahu. Bob Boyle, vice president and general manager for Benchmark at the resort, made the announcement, which represents a promotion for Ms. Hernandez.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Dida to her new role at Turtle Bay Resort,” said Mr. Boyle. “She has worked hard in achieving success at the property in multiple capacities. This is a well deserved promotion and we look forward to her future contributions in this new position.”
Over the past twelve years, Dida Hernandez has steadily progressed to positions of increased responsibility at Turtle Bay Resort, most recently serving in the senior leadership role of director, conference services. She has previously held positions at the resort as senior conference manager, conference manager and catering sales manager. Ms. Hernandez originally joined Turtle Bay Resort as catering coordinator.
Prior to her tenure with the resort, Ms. Hernandez worked for GO International Travel and for The Travel Lodge of Auckland, New Zealand.
Dida Hernandez is currently obtaining her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation and is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). A native of Auckland, New Zealand, who spent much of her formative years in Denmark, Ms. Hernandez is fluent in both Danish and English. She resides on the North Shore of Oahu.
