The Tivoli Victoria was the winner in the category for Best New Private Project and the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais received an honourable mention in the category for Restoration of a Private Project at the Portuguese Tourism Board Awards.
The ceremony for the 5th Portuguese Tourism Board Awards took place today at 12:30 in Auditorium Nº 1 at the Lisbon International Trade Fair Meetings Centre (in Parque das Nações), the stage for this year’s BTL – Lisbon International Tourism Exhibition.
For Alexandre Solleiro, General Director of Operations for Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, “these awards are clear recognition for the work of all those who contribute every day to ensure that the Tivoli Victoria and the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais are a benchmark in Portuguese hotels. These awards are also a tribute to the emphasis we have placed on the quality of new hotels and the renovation of the emblematic hotels in our chain”
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism and the jury responsible for the selection, presided over by André Jordan (who unfortunately couldn’t attend but left a special message for the audience) and consisting of Luís Patrão, President of the Portuguese Tourism Board, José Carlos Pinto Coelho, President of the Confederation of Portuguese Tourism and António Perez Metelo, a journalist.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Portuguese Tourism Board Awards have placed clear emphasis on the best practices in the sector, choosing tourism projects of excellence developed in Portugal over the last two years and singled out for their innovation, quality and contribution to the appeal of Portuguese destinations.
