The new Viceroy Snowmass, opening in Snowmass Village, Colorado in November 2009, has been accepted for membership into the prestigious national sales organization Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). Located just minutes from the center of downtown Aspen, the ski-in/ski-out, 173-room resort is set within the new $1 billion Snowmass Base Village development. Viceroy Snowmass will feature 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. This will be the celebrated Viceroy Hotels and Resorts’ first mountain resort. As a member of ALHI, the resort will now receive National Sales services and support by ALHI to the meetings, incentive/recognition travel, and convention marketplaces.
In Colorado, the Viceroy Snowmass joins the renowned Five-Diamond, 744-room The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs; the distinguished 241-room Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in Denver; the acclaimed Keystone Resort & Conference Center, offering 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space in Keystone; and the exceptional Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, which features 45,000 square feet of meeting space in Vail, as a member of ALHI. For information on any of the ALHI members in Colorado, visit www.alhi.com.
“Viceroy Snowmass is an exciting new venue in Aspen/Snowmass that will be exceptional for group programs. Aspen/Snowmass is a much sought after destination, and this incredible brand new resort is sure to elevate any meeting experience,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “Colorado is truly a distinctive, year-round, one-of-a-kind destination experience for meetings of all types, and the new Viceroy Snowmass fits in perfectly.”
Located in the heart of Snowmass Village, Viceroy Snowmass will feature 173 sophisticated guest rooms and suites, a 7,000-square-foot Ute-inspired wellness spa, a fitness center, a year-round swimming pool, casual and fine dining restaurants, ski valet facilities, and a kids club. Designed by award-winning architect and designer Jean-Michel Gathy of the Malaysia-based Denniston International, the resort has been designed to be an inspirational retreat with first-class Viceroy amenities. Recreational options for groups will include skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sleigh rides, hiking, horseback riding, festivals and concerts.
