Condé Nast Traveler readers recently recognized the Magnolia Hotel & Spa in Victoria as one of the ‘Top Three Hotels in Canada’. The 20th Annual Readers Choice Awards Gala took place on October 10th in New York City. Several Canadian hotels and resorts were nominated in this category, but only three made the official list.

The results were derived from the largest independent poll of consumers’ preferences, the Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Survey, second in size only to the U.S. Census. A record-breaking 28,000 travellers voted this year.

These awards are unique, as they represent the readers’ choice and excellence in the industry. They offer consumers the chance to have their say on a variety of key criteria that are important to them, including overall value, food and wine, ambience, and service.

The four-diamond, luxury boutique Magnolia hotel is infused with European elegance. Guestrooms feature downtown and harbour views, custom-designed traditional two-poster beds, floor to-ceiling windows, and fireplaces in diamond level rooms. In-room complimentary amenities include gourmet coffee, hand made toffee, apple and bottled spring water. The opulent bathrooms feature marble cladding, glass walk-in shower and deep soaker tub for the ultimate in bathing and relaxation,. A fireplace is the perfect addition to set the mood for a relaxing stay. Attention to detail and service are in evidence everywhere, with complimentary continental breakfast, fresh flowers, and fruit in the lobby.

The Spa Magnolia embodies the world-famous Aveda holistic approach and Hugo’s Brewhouse offers a wonderful array of in-house micro brewed beers. Sanuk Restaurant, a Thai word meaning “the pursuit of happiness”, brings the tradewinds sensibilities of Asia with its contemporary Asian décor and evocative cuisine.
